    Business Response

I responded to a complaint on yelp to this customer in July.  As a last-minute booking, I don't think ****** could get in at any other kennel, but we took her in, and on the holiday morning, unheard of at other kennels.  Not sure of her address as the town was not written on form.  However, as a first-time customer, ***** didn't know us.  His eyes were swollen, and he sat on his bed and refused to eat or go outside.  I assumed he wasn't feeling well, you can't force a dog to eat, veterinarians aren't alarned by this as they will eat when they're hungry.  That is why a lot of food wasn't gone, I'm not going to throw it away to look like he'd eaten!  Likewise, you can't force a dog to go outside unless they want to,  We tried luring with the leash, it often works as if going to walk, but we go to the play area if agreeable.  With any dog, especially a pitt bull rottweiler mix, the possibility of biting is real.  Even a fearful ************* in fear.  We've been in business for 25 years, and have many repeat customers.  We take any breed of dog as we have a "no touch" kennel when needed.  A dog is not sent home dirty unless I can't approach it, which was the case here.  We know how to handle dogs.  But if uncooperative and growling, that dog is not touched.   He had his own personal run but wouldn't use it.  I couldn't wash his bed as he didn't get off it. Sorry you were disappointed with your visit, but there's only so much can be done.  Many kennels do not even take pit bulls.
