The building permit was finalized on August. The original guy sent to my house and look at my property and ground pad, where the building would go, was no longer with the company at the time of finalized. He had stated after the permit was issued it would be 3-4 weeks but paperwork I signed said 18 weeks. So I accepted it. Fast forward to when the holes were being dug for the pole barn. I was onsite and had 4 post demarcating where the four corners of the building should go. Later ground crew stated there were only 3 posts and he used his laser on two of them on the right side. Mind you, I still have poles up showing where I want the building to be placed, square with my deck. After the building was erected, it was not square with my deck and was 6-12 inches off toward the right, making it look out of place. The same day I Spoke with ******** ****** and she asked me if I signed the documentation after the holes were dug. I stated I did not, I signed the floor plans from the building crew that stated height, length, width, door and window placement, etc. ******** stated **** from the ground crew said I wasn’t on site when starting. I have photo evidence with date and time showing I was. I then evidence showing I was. They set up a meeting at my residence with ****, the Vice president, ********, and a couple other guys. All in all it was 5 of them and 1 of me, when **** wanted to argue with me and I stated I have photo evidence I’m not arguing with you. I walked away with the ceo and ********, showed them the squared metal post that delineated where the building would be squared to. They ceo stated he would work up a couple different options to help me and would get back to me. The next day they offered to “insulate and place metal on the walls for 12k, stated that was a good deal. Asked for An option that didn’t cost me and they offered 1000 off. Then claimed they did nothing wrong. I’m furious, they have not completed my building. I’ve told them to come and get it.Business Response

We stand behind our process and detail that we built the building as planned and have documented **************************** signed off on the placement. Out of respect and customer service gesture we offered to discount to make customer happy. If it is not acceptable to him he can follow the contract we have in place and communicate with us. We provided 5 options and ************************ wanted a 15% discount which was not even considered to do since he agreed to the placement. We understand he is upset and we are trying to do what we can. ************************ agreed on site with our team that he never made the specific request to line the building with the deck. We have emailed ************************ multiple times since the on site meeting and he has not responded. At this point we are following our contract and waiting on ************************, we will not discount or refund any amount.Customer Answer

This is misleading information from the company. However, I did meet pioneer pole buildings on site. I was asked if I told them I wanted it square with the deck. I stated that I did not specifically go and relay that information. I had the posts aligned that were square with the deck. Which matched the poles still at my residence that match the orientation of the wooden stakes they removed. They did not place the posts where I had them. I never agreed to placement of the building as I never signed the document stating the holes were correct! I told them I wanted 15%. ******** asked if I signed the paperwork stating I approved the holes and placement. I did not, Id like to see my signature for the paperwork after first crew was there, not the paper I signed reflecting the blueprints to the building and if the blueprints matched what I expected. Which was what I expect. The orientation of the building was not. But I was never asked about this. The company claims they did no wrong, but that is not true. Steps to ensure my satisfaction with building placement was not address after the holes were placed. That’s not on me.I have told them I wanted my money back as I am not happy. I gave them options to make it right, they wanted me to spend more money and to only option that did not involve me spending more money was the 1,000 off, which is a slap in the face. Maybe it different crews weren’t contracted to do one job this wouldn’t happen. Also, they brought 6 people and started to argue on site. The main foreman stated that he used a laser on the right front and right side to make a square. Of course the building is not square to the deck, he didn’t use both front stakes to make sure this was the case. I also told them to do. The orientation but they also refused.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
Its incorrect and misleading. They claimed that I never told them to square the building with the deck. I squared the wooden stakes to the deck, I also left metal stakes in the ground exactly where the wooden stakes were placed to show where it should be squared to. These metal stakes are still where they were when they placed the building. I'm just looking for fair compensation, fix the orientation, or give me my money back and come get the building. Will not accept their options.Regards,

This was noted on 12/27 in the BBB system. If customer did not want anything done I am confused because he allowed us to return and do repairs and install seamless gutter on the entire building on 1/5/24. This was confirmed we were coming on 1/4/24 by the customer. So either the complaint is being filed again or there is confusion. We are not ignoring the customer and have answered and talked to him multiple times. He is a part of the issue and we are trying to work together to a solution. He does not want to building moved a foot, he wants discounts and cash. That is not going to happen and we have clearly told him that information. In best interest of a solution we returned to the site to do the gutter and some repairs. If he wants to disagree the next step is legal and not the BBB.Customer Answer

Yes, I allowed them to continue to work on a building that I already paid them 76,000+ dollars for. It has rained a lot and snowed, I didn’t want any issue with pooling water and water run off to the neighbors. I am looking for them to rectify their mistake. If that means come get their building, that was incorrectly position, then so be it. I’ve asked for a percentage discount, unfortunately they have fought me every step of the way. They offered me a product, I paid, they didn’t deliver on the product’s placement and failed to finish the building. Yes, I am looking for cash considerations or complete return. I’ve never encountered a company that stated they didn’t make a mistake, even when I have proof of the stakes in the ground the building should be square to. I’m not interested in spending more money with the company, as this was the only thing they would “work with me on”, aside from giving me 1,000 dollars forgiveness in the final payment. Also, when the company spoke to me they stated they would make it right, that returning it or moving it was out of the question. I have email proof of that. I just want a resolution.Initial Complaint

I have contracted for a detached garage. I have met with the Pioneer Pole Barn representative and walked the site. No issues were no noted, I signed a contract for the work and made a significant deposit. I then submitted the building permit application, which was approved. I was notified by Pioneer Pole Barns of a date for delivery of materials. I agreed and was present. When the PPB crew arrived, they refused to deliver materials and said that the ‘salesman’ *** *****, should have known that delivery of materials would be problematic. After this, I attempted to find a siting for the barn that was better for material delivery. I finally reached what I thought would be an acceptable solution. But this would require a major revision in the structure drawings and would require re-siting the project to a non-optimal location. I was willing to go along with this if it got the project going ahead. As of Today, nearly two weeks after I submitted my requirements for a compromised product, I have, despite several attempts to contact PPB, not received communication from them regarding the project, the anticipated cost, or necessary documentation to submit a new building permit application. When I signed the original contract, I had every expectation that I would, as of today, have a functioning garage. I would be happy if PPB just built what they originally agreed to. I would accept the return of my significant deposit in full. I have bent over backwards to make this happen, and for PPB to effectively ghost me at this point is beyond comprehension.Business Response

We have been in contact with ******************** and are working with him to do the best that helps him. His building is packed and ready to go to site. His access to his site is not good. That is not a Pioneer problem, that is a site problem. It is able to be worked out and we are trying to do that. We cannot build his building without a site and we cannot cancel his contract because his materials are made and ready to ship. I am sure ******************** is frustrated but we will continue to try and help him with a solution. His site is accessible but the wet ground make it inaccessible at this time. Once it dries out we can try again or adjust to work with him but we have not ignored the situation. The sales team has been in contact with him and has noted all contact so we are committed to continue to work with him.Business Response
