    My policy with Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Advantage is a PPO but it's still the same company. My husband and I are both retired and went with **** of Texas Medical Advantage this past January,2024. It has been nothing but problems dealing with them. They file claims with "in network" providers as out of network. One bill is since April and they still have not paid. We needed to go to an emergency room for my husband and hospital is not in network . I called and the agent for **** said Pampa was the closest in network hospital!!!!!, That's 50+ miles away. We went to our local emergency room due to his condition and found out that BCBS Medicare Advantage must pay what Medicare will pay at any ER, whether or not they are in network or not. I feel this is an unfair claims practice as I have been told verbally falsehoods on other claims and questions. We have had to pay more ****** and deductibles with this medicare advantage company than *** who we were with last year. Can't something be done to punish companies like this?
