I have some concerns regarding price transparency and deceptive business practices. I ate at Andy Gavin’s Eatery & Pub on October 22, 2022. Unknowingly to me, the prices shown on the menu do not accurately portray the actual price of the menu. We ordered a stromboli and a calzone which both items were shown as cheaper than they charge. Their own ordering website available directly thru their ******** lists the Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli as $10.95 and the Buffalo Chicken Calzone as $12.95. The physical menu presented to us in the eatery showed a price of $12.95 for both of these items. And their menu is not even provided on their website andygavins.com . When we received our bill, we were charged over $15 for each item making the bill significantly different from what we expected. I questioned the server regarding the significant price difference. She said, oh yes the menus arent correct. While she did adjust the bill to reflect the cost shown on the menu, I found this to be very deceptive. If she knew that in advance, it would be proper to let the patron know that some prices are outdated but she could answer any questions we may have. On top of that, we were surprised by a hidden credit card charge that isn't listed on any menu or sign from what we saw. Even when I said I was going to pay by card, the server didn't disclose the extra fee for paying by credit card until I saw it on the bottom of my receipt. They charged a 3.5% fee for using credit card. While I understand that small businesses have experienced so many challenges, I believe businesses still have a responsibility to properly disclose accurate prices and fees allowing the consumer to make informed decisions. While I caught the discrepancy, I am sure that not all patrons are aware of these fees/incorrect prices and are being charged more.

Yes there is 3.5% on the Credit card processing fee. Almost every one in the Hospitality business has.  If you pay Cash there is Not. The cost of processing has gone up just like everything else has. The second question is also correct. Do to inflation and the Price of goods. The menu is incorrect . Bothe the processing fee's and the menu changes are posted in house . Some even posted before you walk in the door.  To reprint the Menu would cost close to $ 1000.00 dollars and at this time would be very costly to the Business. I do apologize for any confusion to the Customer.
