    This company has the best customer service I have ever experienced. We are building a new home, and I have had to make two changes after placing lighting orders. Their customer service representatives helped me take care of the changes. The thing that sets this company a part from many of the others is you get a person that you can speak to immediately via their live chat.

    I have bought Hubbardton Forge lighting for years. Every room in my house has it .This is my first experience with Lightin NY - my local lighting business owner closed his business.

    I experienced lots of difficulty ordering a HF table lamp to match a floor lamp bought two years ago. I was told by customer service based on the sku number of the floor lamp I provided to that the copper color of the lamp is no longer available and the HF needs to make a special one and order will be non-refundable. They sent me a link which I executed to buy it. Lighting NY subsequently cancelled that order. No explanation. Then I wasa sent a new sign off on for a table lamp with dark smoke finish. I questioned if my floor lamp - copper or dark smoke? No answer. AND, not told of need to special order (I true).

    Three times I was asked during this week plus process what color shade I wanted with it. I noted Flax (but also noted the sku number from my floor lamp purchased I previously with a flax shade was different than the sku provided by Lighting NY). No one ever explained this to me. They said would call me back but I never heard from them.

    So here I am hoping that the order I signed off on is correct. To be candid my confidence is low based on the multiple and confusing interactions without great clarity. (All by email by the way even though on multiple occasions I suggested a phone call.

    When I began this process about ten days ago I hoped I would have the lamp before Christmas. I lost about 10 days because of this fiasco in ordering so I am disappointed by that.

    All of the above said, no interactions with customer service reps were inappropriate. I just felt I wasn’t getting through to them and the sands kept shifting in a very confusing way.

    I have no reason to think that Lighting New York is anything but a reputable business. I just don’t know. I am hoping for a great resolution to all this and hope to amend this review upon product delivery.

    This website had the best prices for what I was looking for. I placed an order that a few days later was $100 less, asked them if they would honor the current price, and they gave me a refund!! Great customer service and user-friendly website. Highly recommend! I have ordered 4 different items from this website.
