    I purchased 3 Quoizel pendant lights for a brand new kitchen. After installation by a licensed electrician, the lamps were powered. After about 1/2 hour of use, one of the lamps began making "popping" and "crackling" noises and within an hour it shattered, leaving glass shards all over my kitchen island. As an aside, it also ruined the food I was preparing for dinner. I immediately notified Lighting New York that I received a defective product. I was contacted by LNY who requested photographs, which I supplied. LNY forwarded the information on to Quoizel for response. After a several days, LNY notified me that Quoizel refused to honor any warranty because the product had been received more than 30 days prior -- despite the fact that they were only installed one day prior to reporting same. My claim was not due to problems/damage in shipment, but rather the defective nature of the glass, which defect could not be known until AFTER installation and use. Their resolution was to SELL me a replacement glass globe at a small discount which ended up costing almost as much as the original light fixture. Useless warranty and horrible customer service on the part of LNY and Quiozel.

    Absolutely astounded by the fantastic customer service! I had a request for parts for an older fixture and while discussing with staff member it was determined that besides the label information I had, a picture might help. I thought "oh no, I'll be starting from scratch with another representative" but instead upon my second chat the new responder went seamlessly to my problem and continued like they were a helpful neighbor. They did some research, took my email and got back to me this morning. Parts located, ordered and being shipped. Overall a tremendous experience.
