I hired Pool Girl, LLC to supply and install new Pentair pool equipment for my in-ground pool. The equipment included a pool filter, pool heater, and additional equipment, including the Pentair Intellicenter, which electronically monitors the pool water temperature and chemical levels and allows them to be adjusted using a phone app, and a system that automatically adds chemicals to the water as needed to maintain appropriate chlorine and PH levels. Pool Girl was also supposed to do the electrical and gas line work. Pool Girl installed the equipment last fall, but because it was late in the year, we agreed to put off finishing the installation, including the gas line and electrical work, until it was time to open the pool this spring. I had other contractors working on constructing a pool cabana and doing landscaping; I had great difficulty getting Katherine to work cooperatively with them, and in particular, we had a disagreement about how to install the gas line for the heater (my contractor had installed a gas hookup near the house, but Katherine insisted that we needed to run a new gas line from the gas meter at the street all the way through our yard to the pool shed). She also could not coordinate properly with my contractor about pulling electrical lines. After some back and forth on these issues, she simply disappeared and would not respond to any phone calls or e-mails. I had my contractor install the gas lines and the electricity, and hired another pool company to open my pool and get the filter going, but there are no other pool companies in western Pennsylvania that know how to work with the Pentair Intellicenter system and automatic chemical system. I have repeatedly requested that Pool Girl return to complete the installation, but to no avail. As a consequence, the several thousand dollars I spent -- at Katherine's recommendation -- on those systems have been wasted. Essentially, she has abandoned the project.

      Re: complaint ID #********

Attached is a timeline of all correspondence, work dates and meetings that occurred on the
******** project. The project was frustrating at best; between having numerous points of contact
on the project and them canceling my subcontractors/me last minute. My subcontractors
became disinterested in the project due to the length of time that the project drew out.
      Regarding the electrical:
November 4, 2022 via email out to all parties (on the job site) stating that the electrical would
begin November 21, 2022 for the pool equipment.

November 14, 2022 I received an email from Window & Kitchen Specialists stating “Do not pull
any wires on Monday.” I sent an email to all parties (on the job site) asking when we could plan
to do the electrical work. I responded via email that my electrician is only available to pull wires
(from the main house to the pool shed) 11/21/22 and is not available to have a meeting 11/21
then do the job 11/23 like they proposed. I continued to ask when we could schedule the
      electrical work.

      Regarding the gas line:
***** ******* (plumber subcontractor with gas line certification) stops by 10/27/22 to look at the
      site.
January 9, 2023 ******** email to Pool Girl: thank you for the care on installing the anchors and

the house. The gas line coming from the main gas meter has been proposed since 11/14/2023.
January 10, 2023 Pool Girl email to ********: Anthony (Frank) and I will be there at 9;00am to
look at the project again and we are dropping everything to do so.
January 11, 2023 Pool Girl sent a lengthy email explaining the recommendation to install the
gas line the way we proposed.

January 13, 2023 Frank Sicilia text to Pool Girl: "if we don't hear from them by monday morning,
cancel it. I feel a bigger pain in the ass than it needs to be".

March 15, 2023 ******** emails me asking when the job would be completed.
March 27, 2023 Craig Biscak the electrician responds via text that he is booked for the next
couple of months and is unable to complete the job.

April 6, 2023 ******** informs me via email that he is working with another pool company.
April 8, 2023 Pool Girl email to ********: "I had your electrical scheduled in December and the
gas line scheduled in January. The electrical was canceled by the contractor on site and the gas
line was canceled by you. Both subs are booked and unable to reschedule. If you have a
preferred plumber and electrician, I can meet with them to give them the details".

April 8, 2023: ******** email to Pool Girl: not happy with attitude and lack of responsiveness ...
"Fair enough; I will make other arrangements. Good luck with your business, and thanks for
      your help."

threatening me with legal actionJune 22, 2023 ******** emailed Pool Girl: "The fact that you're willing to spend the time, money
and effort to consult an attorney about this rather than simply agreeing to come over and finish
the installation is remarkable, but so be it. I look forward to your (or your attorney's) response".

July 10, 2023 ******** email to Pool Girl: threatens to take legal action as outlined previously
In summation April 6, 2023 ******** informed me he was working with another pool company for

      gas line have been made.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The electrical and gas work she refers to has been completed.  All I need is for her to come over and finish the installation of the pool equipment -- specifically, installing the sensors, enabling the Intellicenter and the automatics chemical system.  I paid her for this equipment, and I can't use it the way it was intended.  Whatever issues we had about the gas and electrical installation are no longer relevant, and that's no excuse for her not to come over and finish the equipment installation.  If she wants to issue me a refund for the equipment that's inoperable, that's fine, but otherwise, I expect her to finish the job.

the proprietor of Pool Girl retained an attorney in connection with this matter; he referred me to a different pool servicing company, ***** ********, which completed the installation of the pool equipment.  I don’t require anything further from Pool Girl at this time, so I am satisfied that the complaint can be closed without any further action on the BBB’s part.  I appreciate your help and support.  Best regards.
