    Didn't Stop Thieves and $500 Guarantee Not There. I bought the Twin Hooks Club Model 3000 to deter people from trying to steal my Hyundai Elantra and it did give me confidence that thieves would see it on my steering wheel and pass on by. However, last week (Feb. 2024) someone stole the car. They broke right through my twin hook - no problem for them at all. I later learned from a tow truck driver (they know a lot) that it is fairly easy to break the Club if you know how. I knew there was a $500 guarantee to help pay for my deductible, so I was a little consoled by that. However, when I called the company, they told me the guarantee was only good for one year and I had had the Club for two weeks past that, so they would not honor the guarantee. They put $500 guarantee in big numbers on the package, but nothing about a one year limit. If you are thinking of buying a Club, make sure you find and then read the fine print.
