    Sometime during the week prior to May 21, 2023 Rosenberry Septic Services pumped my neighbor's septic tank. When backing out of the neighbor's driveway the Rosenberry driver (first name "****") hit the post mounted mailboxes I share with a 3rd neighbor. The driver came out to talk to me about the situation today June 26, 2023. I initiated contact with Rosenberry more than a week ago finally speaking to co-owner ***** last Friday June 23. Although driver **** admits hitting the mailboxes, he denies responsibility for breaking it claiming instead that since he was not moving more than 1/8 MPH he could not have caused the damage and that the damage is due to weathering. He further blames my neighbor's friend who was there stating that the friend was directing him as he backed out the driveway. Rosenberry refuses to accept responsibility for the damage, offers no corrective action and actually blames others for the damage done. My mailbox post assembly did not wobble and rock back and forth in the ground prior to **** hitting it. Replacing the post seems to me to have been a reasonable solution but instead only a denial of any responsibility was the response.

    When our technician hit the mailbox, he talked to our customer (who is the neighbor to the owner of the mailbox).  The customer and technician checked the mailbox post and it did not appear to be damaged.  A few days later, the customer called back and said that the mailbox post was wobbly.  We sent the technician back to fix the post.  He put soil and rocks around the post and tamped it down to secure the post in place.  After we made that "repair", the owner of the mailbox called back and was not happy with the fix.  The technician was sent out again to meet with the owner and make sure that he fixed it correctly.  Our technician told the owner of the mailbox that he felt that it was from weathering and not from him hitting the post.  After our technician denied responsibility, I spoke to the owner of the mailbox and agreed to pay for the post to be replaced by a third party.
