    I was registered to take a class during term one of the summer session at Slippery Rock University. The class began on May 31st. I have not been feeling well this week and was unable to get any of the assignments completed that were due. Since the class is only one month long and I am already behind, I will be unable to complete all of the assignments on time. I called the college today and asked about how to drop the class and reenroll for term two of the summer session. They told me that I would have to withdraw because the drop date had already passed. I also asked them about a refund for the class and they said that I would only receive 60% back. I don't think this is fair that they only give me 60% back when I have not submitted any assignments for the class. I would like a full refund of the tuition that I paid for this class.

    This is a first for us with a BBB complaint. Please see below from ****** ******. This was resolved for the student with a late drop which would have been approved by the Dean. We follow PASSHE’s refund policy for each term including the summer parts of term. The refund policy is posted and is consistent for every student. Student’s can pursue late drops and adds through academic records and their academic departments as was done in this case.

    Not sure how you go about letting the BBB know that the issue is resolved. Let us know if there are additional questions or concerns.
