    We paid James R*** of JR Construction to remodel our Kitchen. Our start date was September 26th, 2022. We paid for the materials and a percentage of the labor to complete the project. James was not able to complete the project and owes us money for materials for never received and work that was not completed. He had been asked to provide receipts for the materials we paid for. We have paid James R*** $21,202.58 to date for materials. He has provided us with roughly $3,350 in materials for the project.

    Additionally, at the beginning of our project James provided me with a copy of his insurance policy to cover the work being completed for our remodel project. When I called the insurance agency on November 21st, 2022 they explained to me that his policy had never gone into effect because he never paid it. So he fraudulently claimed to have insurance and was not covered.

    We are asking James to refund us the money for the materials owed and the unfinished work from the project.
