    I purchased an airbag for my car from the Volkswagen dealership on Dec 1, 2023. My local mechanic told me he could not find the part, so I did, and had it arranged to be sent to him. When it arrived, the car diagnostic ran differently and we no longer needed that part. The dealership will not refund for the return of the part, saying that if the mechanic had not cut the tape, it would be eligible. I feel either the car dealership or the mechanic took advantage of my being a young woman and not having much background in cars, and now I have an unneeded $1,000 part sitting in a box.

                    The air bag that was purchased on 12/01/2023 is not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges. We have posted on our invoices; RETURN POLICY: No returns on electrical or special order items. All claims and returned goods must be accompanied by this invoice. A restocking charge will be applied on all merchandise returned for credit. No returns after 30 days.

                    We do not accept returns on electrical and safety items when they are opened. We have no way of knowing if the part was installed and corrupted/broken/failed and cannot in good faith resell a used part, nor will it be accepted for return by the manufacturer.

    I wanted to like this place, but frequent incompetence has made it impossible. The service staff is generally friendly (when not complaining about clients and coworkers), and the sales staff is very friendly.1st issue: 8/2024 I traded in a ****** lease for a Jetta. They failed to turn in the lease for three months, causing ****** to threaten repossession. Despite repeated assurances, my credit score dropped 200 points due to their negligence, and Im still fighting to restore it.2nd issue: My radio died, and **** said he would order a new one (5/13/24). Days passed without contact, so I called him. After waiting three hours at the dealership (5/17/2024), **** claimed the factory might not accept the return because the radio was "kicked." I insisted I hadn't damaged it, but he remained unconvinced. He then presented a $1,100 bill for the replacement, which I refused. I asked them to reinstall the old radio, which they did at no charge. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. Im done with Volkswagen of Springfield. Even if you have to travel farther, avoid this place.

    I went to Springfield Volkswagon on November 7 th to trade in out ****** Rogue Sport because the lease was over on November 17 th 2023. We leased a volkswagon Taos left our ****** and took the ****. They were suppose to pay off our ******. Today is February 1st we have no registration card, bad credit for not paying our Rouge payments. Ruined our credit. They did not pay off our ****** and I lost 77 points for non payment. Also they did our paperwork 3 times and used another more recent date so they are not responsible for our ******. I think I have the original paperwork. I have been calling and **** the manager is hiding. Never returns my calls. I dont know what to do.

    We are extremely sorry for the long delay on the paperwork due to unforeseen circumstances with the lender, thus delaying the payoff and registration.  The payoff has been made and registration work send to the State.
