Last year I adopted a dog from Paws and I told them I wanted a dog that gets along with kids and people. They gave me *** then he started to have behavioral issues, I tried to work with him and after 3 months I had to surrender him to no fault of mines or his, before I signed the papers I told them can I adopt another dog? They said yes. But unknown to me they decided to blacklist from adopting anywhere which made me feel like I could not take care of a dog. They also changed his name to ******************** adult only low traffic home. I ended up finding a dog who doesnt have behavioral issues and will be emotional support therapy dog and is very happy. The lady that blacklisted me was name is *****. The only good thing about Paws is ************ and *** and I also went into **** with my current dog and they told me only Paws dogs are allowed in there. Im pretty sure they were mad because I got a dog whos happy and he is good for my mental health

*****, PAWS' adoption decisions are made with the unique needs and in the best interests of each animal in mind. While we are very sorry that your adoption did not work out, it was based on the concerns we had for the safety of the dog. Additionally, there is not a statewide or nation wide "banned owner" list, so it is inaccurate to state that we were behind a "blacklisting." Last, it is a consistently enforced protocol to not allow public animals to enter our building to visit. We were happy to provide you with a Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) voucher to assist you in getting your new dog altered. That was able to occur without your dog being present in our facility. We wish you and your new dog all the best.
