I purchased a set of 4 ********** tires from a shop by February 9th and one of them I noticed has a crack on the outside of the tread. No air is being lost and I’ve talked to my brother who’s a mechanic and he said when the tire was rethreaded it probably didn’t cut right and produced a defect. The shop is putting the blame on me and says it looks like pot hole damage I’ve shown another mechanic and he has said the same thing it being a defect

    Dear *****************************,

I received your notification of the above referenced complaint. **. ********** is a current customer who we have had no complaint or made aware of any dissatisfaction from.
We sold him a set of four ********** tires. He returned with a tire that was damaged. We put the claim through to our wholesale distributor and was able to issue **. ********** credit of a new tire replacement.
**. ********** is only responsible for the installation of the tire. He expressed to us that he was satisfied with the course of action. After receiving this notice we contacted **. ********** to review his experience and he stated he did not make the claim and that it was his father who contacted the BBB and complained. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me directly, we would like this resolved as soon as possible.
