The transaction took place on January 4,2024. We has called the day prior about filing a lawsuit. We were assured by the person on the phone that yes, we could file this lawsuit through their firm . On January 4, they called and took a consultation fee of $ 200 . The next day the lawyer called to do the consultation. She then proceeded to tell us there was no way they would file the lawsuit on our behalf. We tried to get the fee refunded but they have not done that, not have they even contacted us about since January. We are living paycheck to paycheck ( disability) so we can't afford to just throw money away like that.

      Business Response

      Date: 04/17/2024

      Good morning.

On or about January 3, the complainant and her husband contacted our office to ask about bringing a lawsuit against the ************************** We were told the reason was that when called to a domestic fight between ******* and *****, the police over tightened the cuffs on ******* an otherwise caused injury. Our intake personnel indicated that such cases are very fact specific and that we would consider the case following a consult. It was explained that such a consult costs $200, because of the time invested by the attorney and understanding when a case exists and when one does not, even in the face of injury. The potential client agreed, paid and consultation was set.

During the consultation, ******* and ***** both yelled at and berated the attorney, *****************, Esq., who was trying to determine whether the facts supported a civil rights violation claim. Attorney **** concluded that based on the nature of the injury, the reason for the police contact and the behvaior of the potential client, there was no case we were willing to pursue.

The fee paid was for a consultation only.

The potential client has since posted untrue things, including allegations of theft, along with contacting third parties associated with members of the ARM Lawyers firm.

Though the work was done to earn the consultation fee and thus no refund is warranted or due, if ******* was prepared to remove any and all negative reviews, cease contacting the family members of the firm, sign a mutual general release and nondisparagement agreement, we would be willing to refund the consultation fee.

Feel free to contact me at ********** or **********.
