We were very displeased with KMB Plumbing's service. They came to service our furnace and ever since then it kept shutting off for no reason. We kept calling them and each time they sent over two repairmen and charged us an hourly rate for both. They would get the furnace working before they left, but soon the furnace would repeatedly go into hard lockout, leaving us with no heat during the cold weather. Then the furnace would turn on, but not shut off so we had to shut it off manually at the breaker. KMB told us that we needed 3 new motherboards because of a "power surge" and proceeded to replace them. In total, we were charged $3800 for all of their visits and "repairs". We finally had to call someone else that a friend suggested. The new repairman finally figured out that the Burner Control that KMB had replaced the previous year was faulty. They had given us a digital reader. I don't know why they replaced it in the first place since we only called them to do yearly maintenance on the furnace. Our new guy replaced the digital one with a manual one like the one we'd had since the furnace was installed. My complaint is that KMB charges their customers for 2 repairmen and doesn't inform the customer before making any repairs.

I was charged hourly for 2 people on a 1 person job. The techs came unprepared, they did not ask ahead of time for any information about the heater they were coming to fix. Nor did the office when i made the appointment. The part that wasn’t working on my heater was a very common part and the usual suspect on a heater like the one I own. This part should have been on the vehicle. The techs could not get the broken part off and took a part of my heater back to the shop with them and to also get the part needed.
KMB charged me hourly for both techs to drive back to the shop and then back to my home. They were unprepared and I paid for it. The part needed was under $20 cost and I was charged $771 to replace it.
When I reached out to let them know my dissatisfaction the reply was to essentially blame me for their unpreparedness. Then accused me of being unprofessional for writing a review online.
The next day, there was a faint smell of propane by the heater so I had to turn it off. I cannot use it until I have someone come look at it. The part that is likely the problem was one of the parts that they took with them and likely overtightened when they put it back on. So I paid $771 and cannot even use the heater. I do not trust them to come back and fix it, and I would bet they would try to charge me for doing so.
I now know that this company is known in the area to be dishonest and overcharge for their services.
I warn anyone to stay away.

Believe the reviews, this company is a scam and will take advantage. They sent a tech to check my grinder, said it needs to be replaced. Tech said himself… a new grinder is somewhere between $1500-$2000. With that, I figured can’t be more than 4k to do this job. They said they’d be back 8am next day to do the job. Never sent the estimate, I texted and called the “24/7” number to get the estimate multiple times and no response. With this I had a feeling they were going to try to take advantage of the urgency and just as expected he sends me an estimate for $8000 an hour before they were to do the job! I know better, he called me on the phone and says, “he obviously told you price for wrong pump, no grinder costs that”, I mentioned well then I don’t feel comfortable and he hung up on me. He is VERY RUDE and a scam artist. I got another plumbing company to come out same day for the same job and doing the same job for less than $2500. DO NOT USE

After talking to others who have received quotes from this company they have all been through the same thing. Good luck keeping yourself in business.
