    On 2-2-21 we placed an $8,119 order for vinyl siding with C & C Building Supplies. The order for Foundry 7" Split Shake Vinyl Siding was based on the specs and info provided to us by Paul (the sale associate). He was unfamiliar with ordering this product and made several calls to the Boral Building Products Foundry Vinyl Siding Rep. Based on this information we order the product. As we started siding our garage we discovered that the corner pieces were purchased as a case instead of individual, giving us an extra 6 cases of Corner Kits. I called C & C Building Supplies asking what I needed to do to return the product. No one would talk to me about resolving the situation. They would only transfer the calls to Paul. These are 6 unopened boxes of corner kits which I took pictures of and forwarded to Paul. Paul had to contact the vendor Rep and we were told that returning it would cost us a 25% restocking fee + freight. Unacceptable. Starting 3-2021 Covid was rampant. The world was in the middle of a pandemic and many restrictions were put into play. I called Boral Building Products customer service the end of April and was given contact information for the sales rep in that area. I contacted him and was given the "run-around" for several months with no resolution. Summer of 2021 I once again contacted C & C Building Supplies hoping that the terms for return would be different since covid restrictions were being lifted. Again I was directed to Paul who once again called the sales rep... same conditions exist. I tried online resolution procedures, but to no avail. After months of deliberation, I thought I could somehow file a complaint against a business to alert and protect other consumers not to trust this business. I was delighted to find out that I could actually ask for assistance in advocating for me and finding resolution. I just want to return the unused, unopened cases and receive a full refund. Thank you for your help.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  I have attached a statement responding to C & C Building Supplies correspondence.  I am unaware of any other avenue to resolve the complaint.  Any advice would be helpful.

    Our “special order” was based solely on the information given to us by C & C.  No person would intentionally order 6 extra cases of corner kits.  Truth be told, we needed more product to finish the job and ordered it elsewhere. It’s very unfortunate that C & C is erroneously placing the blame on us… the customer!
