    My wife ***** and I hired England Events on 1/15/24 to ** our wedding and reception on May 25th, 2024. We paid the full amount of $999.00 on this date while we meet with them in person to deliver the check and sign the contract (we never got a signed copy of it). Were were told ***** and **** would be our **s or **** and his brother depending on their schedules. As we got closer to our wedding date, my wife asked multiple times to meet in person to go over our wedding. All of these requests were either denied or ignored. Eventually we got a phone call scheduled the Saturday May 18th (1 week before the wedding). We then learned our ** was going to be someone else we never heard of or meet. We had the call with the new ** and went over all the details of the wedding. The ** said they would be arriving onsite around 2PM the day of the wedding to set up for our 3:30PM ceremony. On our wedding day, no one showed up so we called the ** around 2:40PM. He said he was about 5 minutes away. The ** went to the wrong place, a full hour away from us. So he did not get to our venue until well after 4PM and missed the ceremony. This forced us to be without a microphone and speaker setup for the ceremony which made it hard to hear for our quests. Our wedding coordinator had to use a Bluetooth speaker for music.The ** did manage to get his equipment set up for the reception at 5:15PM.The following week, we tried to call England Events 3 separate times and had to leave messages to discuss what happened and an appropriate resolution. The finally sent us an email apologizing for their mistakes on May 29th. I responded to the email the same day and told them that was not good enough and they should refund half our money since they did not show up for our ceremony. They have not responded to us since. Simply put, they did not provided the services we agreed upon because of their own incompetence. While a full refund could be justified, I would be satisfied with half.
