      ********** AC unit purchased (for $9660) and installed by Ace Robbins 6/20/2018. In July of 2020 we noticed unit was not cooling as it previously had and by 8/2/22 we were not getting any cooling out of the unit furthest away from the compressor. Service call placed to Ace-Robbins and on 8/2/22 serviceman discovered unit was very low on refrigerant and added 3-lbs of refrigerant and billed $252. Unit then worked. When I asked the serviceman how the unit lost most of the refrigerant his response was “I did not find a leak so I have no idea how it lost it or where it went.” And informed me I needed to schedule cleaning for indoor condensers which would be an extended service call that would take about 5 hours to complete. Follow up call was placed to Ace-Robbins the next day to inquire what they were going to do about the compressor and the fact that it lost most of it’s refrigerant and they refused to address the issue and asked if I was going to schedule the cleaning of the indoor units - which I declined at that time and reinforced the fact that the “disappearing” coolant was a much more pressing issue. Unit is still under warranty. On 8/7/22 unit is once again failing to cool therefore a different HVAC will be contacted to address the problem that the seller/installer - Ace Robbins - will not. We would also like to dispute the $252 service charge since the unit only held the refrigerant for 5 days due to Ace Robbins refusing to try to find how it disappeared in the first place and will result in another service charge for the same problem only 5 days Later.

      Unit was installed 6/20/18 with no preventative maintenance performed, as required by manufacturers warranty. Information was given by phone and mailed to customer on services available 5/14/19.  8/1/22 call for service was the first return service we have made since installation four years ago.
