The customer purchased the vehicle via buy here pay here and an agreement to pay $100 WEEKLY starting the week after purchase. The customer signed off knowing that the vehicle had visible rust and would NOT pass inspection.  In the state of PA when purchasing a vehicle you have a month to get it inspected.  I don't know why a cop would pull her over regarding this and was not aware the cops pulled her over for inspection issues.  We install *** devices in all our buy her pay here vehicles and per the *** system, she drove the vehicle all over the place to numerous different towns.  We offered to have our mechanic look at the vehicle and the mechanic is still open and said she never contacted them.  She was rude to all of our employees, and vendors that she spoke to. She had not made any payments and was 63 days past due when she was sent for repossession.  The car was in process of getting repossessed on 4/13/25 when she hopped in it so we were unable to take it because she would not get out and would not make any payments.  We proceeded with the repossession on 4/15/25.  She had a lot of belongings in the vehicle, as most people do, along with a lot of drugs and paraphernalia.  We have copies of all signed paperwork.

I am 60 years old and disabled. I went to this place to buy a car. Every reservation i had while signing paperwork. Lady assured me that the things i have to initial about issues did not mean my car. It is all just things they have to put in paperwork. She assured me my car was good. I had car for 12 days and rear tire snapped off at axel. Had 4 people come look at car. All told me car cannot be repaired because frame is totally rusted and cannot be repaired. They allowed me to get on highway and drive back to West Va with this car in this condition. The bad part is i truly liked this car. And would have repaired it if that were an option. I called 2 times and was hung up on. Owner told me get used axel from junkyard and he would apply 50 dollars towards repair. When i tried to explain it could not be repaired he would not give me that chance he hung up on me. I tried to call following day and woman hung up on me.

I am writing to address the
complaint filed by ****** *********.  The
used 2008 Scion XB was sold AS-IS via cash on March 29, 2024, for $3500.  The customer was accompanied by another party
who looked at the vehicle at the time of sale.

      The customer called and asked
for an axel and LBSi agreed to pay for the part and installation if she brought
the vehicle to one of the mechanics that does work on our vehicles.  She was supposed to get back to us and we
never heard anything until this complaint.

      The customer viewed rust and
acknowledged defects on the vehicle at the time of the sale by signing item
numbers 3,4, and 5 on our Vehicle Buyers Order.
It was also noted that it would not pass inspection.  (See attached form).

      The customer says in the
complaint that she is disabled but never disclosed this to us.  She signed off on number 14 on the Vehicle
Buyers Order stating, “Customer agrees that they have no impairment at the time
of signing and completing this contract.”
If she had disclosed she was disabled we could have been further help at
      the time of sale.

      The customer signed a Buyer’s
Guide, and Terms and Conditions paperwork which we have included signed pages
by the customer as supporting documents.
The customer signed off on buying this used vehicle “AS IS” and LBSi
tried to help her and never heard back.
