      On or about Nov 18, 2022, I paid Ace Quick Lube $87.00 to change my oil. After checking the fluid level in the rear end, they forgot to re-install the drain plug. I realized that three weeks later after hearing a howling noise coming from the rear housing. They have since, after numerous attempts, refused to accept any responsibility.

      *** ****         Please be advised that I have found many errors in your response to my complaint.  You stated that if the "drain" plug was left out the vehicle would not have made it more than a mile from the shop.  also stating that that removal of the "drain" plug is not required to check the fluid level of the rear differential.  In fact the plug in question is not actually a drain plug since it is not on the bottom but actually located on the side of the housing.  That is the only way to check the fluid level.   That being the case, driving the truck with that plug out, and the gears turning, it would take some time for the fluid to blow out.  Weeks later, after hearing a howling noise, I then discovered that the plug was not re-installed.  I immediately went to Ace Quick Lube and made Tony aware of the problem.  He declined to accept blame.  Again, I only became aware of the issue after all of the fluid blew out of the hole where the "drain" plug should have been.  It took some time for the bearings to begin to wear since there was no fluid.  That explains the 30 days that you speak of.
