      My BF’s car had been sitting & we got it towed here to get it looked at to see what needed to be done to get it running. They said the amount of work that would need to be done would have cost more than the car was worth. Owner said he knew a guy that might come look & make an offer to buy it. A week or so went by with my BF reaching out a couple times to check since we didn’t hear back about the guy. I reached out & said I was getting worried about it & wanted to hold onto the title until the car sold & could look into other places if the other guy wasn’t interested. They did a complete 180 & demanded the car be off the lot that morning & that no one was going to buy “your blown up car”. I said I couldn’t get it out right then, I was on my way to work. They back tracked & said we were “no worries” & they’ve worked hard to go against the stigma of cash grab shops & wanted us to trust them. I found a buyer the same day (Wed) who was going to pick it up Sat. I went in to get the title & key that Wed night. They said his guy still might come look at it the next day (Thurs). I said I had a buyer & they could come Sat. They said the car was a liability being there until then (again, totally fine w/ it there for the other guy). I said I would try to get it out sooner. I contacted the buyer & he said he could if he got a cancel. I said let me know right away & I’ll make it work. I was looking into other places that might make an offer w/ pickup same day to get it out earlier. Fri 2pm they call & say the car will be impounded in 15 min. No warning! When we spoke on Wed they never said they would do that if it wasn’t out by a day/time. They had no issue w/ it there when the guy they knew was going to look at it. Begged for 1 more day & reminded them the buyer was coming next day. They refused. I rushed over. Paid for tow to move it, when it would be gone next day. I think the “guy” & then were going to scam us. They were cool until I wanted to hold the title & had a buyer.
