    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********.

I am willing to settle for reimbursement of $700, even though this is only 75% of the amount I initially paid.

    My
acceptance of the settlement is conditional upon the following
criteria being met by or before 2/2/2023:

    -Receipt
of $700 cash in hand, and subsequently
    - the washer
and dryer units being removed from my property by North Warren Appliance
    Depot.

    Regards,

    ****** ********

4 months, trying to resolve the situation has been a tax on my family and on my time. It has increased our stress and affected our well-being, requiring us to depend multiple times on a neighbor to wash and dry our clothes. I am only asking for a fair resolution, for the appliances to be taken back by the North Warren Appliance Depot, and for the money I originally paid to be refunded.

If needed, I can provide screenshots of text messages to the individual who I believe is the majority owner of the North Warren Appliance Depot. These include pictures, videos, and descriptions of the issues and attempts to resolve the commercial issues that are still outstanding.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/23/2024

Customer (***** ********) came into the store 3 different times before he purchased a washer and dryer on his fourth visit on 9/16/23. The price of the washer and dryer set was $1200.00. We agreed on the price of $1000.00. When it came down to finish the deal, customer only wanted to pay $900.00. We are a new business.  We are a new business just trying to get started.  We let him have it for $900.00.  He also paid the tax and $50.00 delivery fee.

We delivered and set up the washer and dryer. Within a day or two, customer informed North Warren Applicance Depot there was a problem with the dryer.  Service tech went out and changed the moisture sensor on the dryer. The next day, customer calls.  There is still a problem with the dryer.  Service tech goes back to his house. The dryer vent was plugged with lint and debris, on the outside of the house. Service tech cleaned it all out. This should have been taken care of by customer.

Two or three weeks later, customer called again about a problem with the dryer latch.  Service tech makes another service call, fixing the hard plastic latch.  The dryer did not leave the store with a broken latch.

Three times service calls were made to his residence in Youngsville, Pa. He was not charge for any of them.

Months later, customer calls again.  There is a problem with the dryer digital control panel.

We don't do cash refunds, only in store credit.

We have tried several times to make Mr. ******** happy and solve his appliance problems at our own expense.  Unfortunately, since his attitude and complaints have become such a time consuming irritation, even though we do not due cash refunds, we offered him $700.00 of his $900.00 back.  He refused.  At this point there is not much more I am willing to do for him, including refunding $700.00.
