On July 26th I went into Small Town Pets of ****** to purchase a rabbit. I purchased a rabbit from their shop being told by store employee ********************* it was a male. On August 8th, 2024 my boyfriend and I came home to find that the rabbit that we were told was a boy, was pregnant and it had a stillborn baby in its cage. (see image below) This is a traumatizing instance and should never have happened, as we thought the bunny was a male. The store employee should have provided us with the correct information on the rabbit and a health check should have been completed. We then went into Small Town Pets on August 8th to speak about the issue. The employee working was not the one we dealt with on the day we purchased the rabbit. He provided us with contact information for ********************* to discuss the instance. I called the number and tried to discuss the situation and she was very rude, swearing at me before hanging up. There still has been no resolution to this issue and we would like to discuss this with the owner of the store ASAP.

To who it may concern, we have multiple signs placed. She called my manager and my manager handled everything professionally until she started threatening and swearing at my manager on her personal phone number that she got From my employee because she was very hostile To him! My manger did hang up in her and she continues to call her multiple times even after she asked her not to call her on her personal phone number.  We offered to replace the bunny she refused, we offered to return the bunny she refused. So my manger asked her what she wanted us to do because nothing we offered was good enough! Bunnies are often born with defects of the genitalia that makes them very difficult to tell the gender females will look like males even breeders have issues telling sexes with this issue.  When our animals come in we go threw proper quarantine and health checks if there is any issues we offer veterinary care to all Of our animals through pet animal hospital Dr S******!
