    Wellington was hired to replace a meter on my house. The technician rang my “ring doorbell” and broke it. I called Wellington to launch a claim. I submitted the pictures and video evidence substantiating my claim. They denied my claim. I asked to dispute the claim or file an additional rebuttal. A representative from Wellington said they will not allow me to speak with anyone else at Wellington and he will not be able to process a rebuttal. The representative, Matt, was very rude and condescending. He told me I couldn’t speak to anyone additional and then hung up on me.

    They sent me a letter in the mail denying my claim. In the letter they mention that their employee was not negligent in their duties. I was not arguing whether they were or were not negligent, rather, I was arguing that a piece of my property was broken by their employee and they ought to replace the damaged item. The letter is attached. I don't know if I have any legal recourse or even if it's worth retaining counsel. I just didn't appreciate the rude and condescending attitude from "Matt" the customer service representative, and the fact that the company did not volunteer to replace the damaged item. Thank you for your help with this matter.
