NEVER PURCHASE STEAKS FROM PENNSYLVANIA PACKINGHOUSE. I will refer to this business as PP. All details below are true. We planned a wonderful cookout at our home with our dear family. We called PP, placed a selective/specific order for 10 Ribeye Steaks. On June 7th, my husband picked up our steaks. On PP's receipt our 10 Ribeye Steaks were listed as Delmonico Steaks @ $16.99 per pound. I called PP, spoke to Logan who explained that boneless Ribeye Steaks are Delmonico Steaks. I commented our steaks looked "lovely", of course they were still raw/uncooked. Beyond disheartening, once grilled, our 10 steaks were severely fatty, gristley, tough, uncuttable & unconsumable. I took many pictures. Our day was ruined. Our family had so much difficulty cutting their steaks; then politely spitting bites of steak into their napkins. Even though we made many side dishes, we ordered pizza. We collected the unconsumable steaks, deciding to return to PP for a resolution. PP is closed on Sunday & Monday. I went on Tuesday, June 11th. I spoke to Jim. He stated he sold me what we ordered. What an asinine reply! No customer in this whole wide world would order these terrible steaks. Jim showed no concern; he said NO to giving me a refund for this establishment?'s blunder. He told me that "if I choose, I could go to another business the next time we purchase steaks". EVERYONE PLEASE PURCHASE YOUR STEAKS FROM ***** *****, **** * **** OR ******** where experienced, intelligent butchers will stand behind what they sell. I spoke to one of these store's butchers who stated that for $16.99 per pound these 10 steaks should have been excellent, that we were probably sold low-grade steaks. Since I did not receive any resolution, my husband telephoned the owner of PP, **** *********. **** listened, NOT extending any courtesy to make things right. He said he was in the backroom when I came in. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. WE WILL NOT STOP TELLING EVERYONE WE KNOW ABOUT OUR VERY UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE.
