    I contacted Star Tree service in the beginning of January this year to remove a fallen tree on my home. When the gentleman came out to assess the damage, he gave me a verbal estimate of $1200.00 to remove the tree from the house, and from the property. Star Tree Service came out and removed the gate and part of the chain link fence to get their equipment into the back yard to get the tree off the roof. A copy of the damaged fence has been enclosed. 
    When they presented the invoice, the invoice was $300.00 more than the original estimate which I promptly paid. 
    Star Tree service never fixed the gate or the chain link fence, and the "clean up" left much to be desired. I have two dogs, thus it was not appreciated when they were able to leave the yard. 
    Star Tree Service never returned to finish the fence part of the job despite numerous calls. In a short time, they would not even answer my calls. I did call Star to leave a message that I was contacting Erie Fence caused by Star but received no reply. 
    Erie Fence did a great job fixing the damage Star Tree Service caused. 
    I expect that Star will reimburse me $427.00 for property damage.

    ********* **** contacted Star Tree Service after a windstorm came through the Erie area and caused damage to her property. Upon arrival to the **** residence at **** ********* ****** ***** ** there was a tree that had fallen on the property hitting the yard, house and fence. When given the estimate for $1500 it was to remove the fallen tree from the house and ground which ultimately included removing the tree from the fence as well. We however, do not repair fences as we are a tree company. Star Tree Service employees did require to move the broken fence gate to access the yard to do our job of the tree removal safely and correctly.

    Our clean up includes taking the tree itself, and as many twigs and saplings as we can when racking up the yard. We can not fix damages made to grass that was caused from a fallen tree. Star Tree Service takes great pride in their customer service area, and always leave the job in the most desired completion within our specialty. Star Tree Service, did NOT use any in yard type of machinery to complete her job, as it was all done by hand cutting and dragging brush to the roadway where the trucks were parked. So I am not sure what ********* is implying by stating "the clean up was left to be desired." 

    We did try to resolve the fence issue with ********* explaining the fence damage happened when the tree fell, however after several conversations there seem to be no reasoning with *********. If the homeowner submitted the tree damage to the homeowners insurance for the tree removal and fixing of her fence, they should have paid both invoices for her I assume, however ********* chose to pay us directly, so we are unaware if she ever filed an insurance claim with her homeowners insurance.
