I hired ********************* to do a tin roof on a lean-to on my garage, 2 exterior walls due to siding blowing off with that last bad wind storm. And he was to also clean a pile of garbage out of my yard. I signed the contract on 5/10/2023 he asked for half the money down. I wrote a check for 2100.00on that date. He said he would be back in a week or so to do the job and told me he would order the siding and materials for the job.. well I didn't hear back from him until 5/22/2023. He never ordered the siding but did come after numerous calls to do the metal roof which took them all of 30 min. And when I went out to see how it was going I seen he was using used wood for the framing. Under the metal roof. I asked him at that time is that all gonna be ok..he said there are some weak spots in the roof but it will be ok. He was finished with that part and said ok I will be back in a few weeks when the siding is in. I asked if it was ordered but he didn't answer but asked if he could have another piece of the old . I then realized he did not order it yet. Meanwhile everything it rains the water is getting in behind and most likely damaging it more. I am disabled and can't get up there to tack it back on. I have called several people to come help but now that this man has taken the money and ran I can't afford to hire someone else. I went to the police station and they said that this man has several law suits against him..what do I do. This man's license should be taken away and I think he should be arrested for what he is doing. I will be filing a judgment against him as soon as I can but the way the police said it will just be one more to add to the list..I will be contacting my county rep and anyone else I can. Thank you.

I told her I would and did order her material for the siding job. Which she knew because she called my supplier and harassed them. She would call me every day and complain I wasnt on her job but I couldnt leave the job I was working on just to come back to her job. She has to realize that she wasnt my only customer that I work for. Its people like her that think theyre better than everyone else that think we as contractors are supposed to jump when they call. I dropped her materials off and I left her a letter and when I left the job she still owed me money that I walked away from because she was a pain. As for the pile of debris I was going to clean that up and get rid of it as a favor dont let her tell you that was in my bid because it wasnt. As I stated earlier people who think they are better then everyone else gets the karma they deserve now I know why the other contractor left the job before me.

    Customer Answer

Hello..I am so sorry That Mr. Swartz felt the need to act like a child in his response. I had to go to police station to try to resolve this matter. The cop who talked to me said he had several civil complaints against him.

I since found another contractor to complete the job and he is doing just fine. He shows up, returns calls. Which I have only HAD to call him 1 time. He is polite and courteous as a contractor should be. He couldn't show up 1 day so he called me to let me know, again as a contractor should. Mr. Swartz comes off as a good person and even said himself that the work from the last contractor was not done right.

Yes Mr. Swartz did bring the material to my home. However that was paid for by me when I gave him the money. I gave him 2100.00 in the beginning and materials only cost a little over 1,000.00 and he did do the lean to tin roof that took them a total of about 35 min. He bought tin and supplies out of that also which was 434.34 which was on the paper he provided me which left him with roughly 660.00 So how did I owe him money?

As far a the pile of debris it in fact was in the bid..I will attach for proof.

To wrap this up. I have talked to alot of people about this business and not only the state police say he is not someone to hire but the district magistrate also said the same thing. So he can paint me as a bad person if he wants but facts don't lie..

As you can see in his proposal it clearly says, ALL THE OLD DEBRIS WILL GET CLEANED UP AND DISPOSED OF!!!

    Thank you for your time..
