he exhaust leak and my rotors are bad,I spent $150 at the second place that fixed the exhaust,he said they put allot of foam under their to cover allot of things up,the third place I took it to charged me $281 for a new water pump because they said the gasket was bad so they replaced the whole thing,I haven’t heard anything or gotten any money back, this needs to be addressed because they just use people for their money and the car still isn’t fixed.

I have read your letter and the complaint. I would like to state that she is a disgruntled ex-wife of my younger brother.

******************* had her car towed in because it was not running. We did an assessment and informed her of the problem. We gave her a verbal estimate and she told us to repair her vehicle. We did not dissemble anything until we had her approval. This was the first time she had brought in a vehicle for us to work on.

During the process of removing engine parts we saw where the exhaust flange bolts were completely rusted, but, had to be removed to fix the timing belt problem. The cost for a new exhaust pipe would have been approximately $200.00 so we decided to save her this money by cutting the pipe and then welding it back to its original state after the timing belt work was finished. We did this as she constantly complained about the high cost of replacement parts.

While her email states we used a lot of foam to cover a lot of things up, we never use foam on anything and do not have any inhouse. This was a bad misrepresentation.  I am sure the repair shop who fixed this small leak did not replace anything but only touched up the weld that was on there. We would have gladly done this at no charge and saved her the $150.00.

We did nothing with the water pump since it was good when it left here. Why the other repair shop replaced the expensive water pump instead of replacing only what was bad, the $5.00 gasket,  is beyond me. That was not good business.

She did bring her car back to us 2 times after we released it to her. The first time it was overheating so we bled the coolant system and refilled the entire system with the proper orange antifreeze. We did this at no charge.

The second time she brought it back because she thought she had a coolant leak but we found none. We did take notice that somebody added in a green antifreeze to the recommended orange which we used. Of course, this is never recommended.

We are sorry about this situation. We are a very reputable repair shop for over 16 years making sure all of our customers are satisfied. If there are problems, we always strive to make them right. ******************* was not happy and took her car to other shops and did not give us a chance to make things right, which we would have.

We feel we did a good job for her but she just wouldn't work with us after her second visit.
