    I order one roll of 1 hundred feet deer wire and they ship 2 and charge for 2 and now they want me to pay $73 for shipping it back plus $35.00 for re stock, almost half of the price of the one roll return. I want to send the one extra roll back and I want them to pay for the return back. They sent me 2 separated orders # ******/****** and ******/****** on 6/27/2023 please help me I have no idea why they sent 2 when I order just 1.

    After reviewing our order system and confirming with our payment processor, it does appear that two orders were placed on our website roughly nine minutes apart from each other. Both orders were then shipped and received within their delivery window. I have notes from our customer service that a call was made to them regarding the two orders and that they did provide our standard return policy to you; which would include the buyer paying for the return shipping and our standard restocking fee. We do however understand that accidental orders can happen and we will be contacting the customer to rectify the situation. We will provide a return label and waive the restocking fee for this mistake. We apologize that the customer felt their only recourse was to pursue a claim with the BBB.

    on 7/20/22 I purchased 2 rolls of 2' x 100' 19 Gauge Galvanized Steel Black PVC Coated Hardware cloth 0.25" x 0.25" Mesh from DeerBusters.com It was delivered on 7/22/2022. On 7/23/22 I unpacked one of the rolls and immediately noticed it was made of wire much smaller than I was expecting it to be. I then peeled back the PVC coating and measured the wire and then went online and found a AWG wire gage calculator. The wire this mesh is made of is 23 Gauge not wire not 19 Gauge wire as they claim. 23 Gauge wire is less than 1/2 the cross sectional area of 19 Gauge wire. less than 1/2 the strength, weight, cost, ect. According to the Wire Gage calculator I am using, 23 gauge steel wire has a cross sectional area of 0.0004 square in. and a Diameter of 0.0226 inches. 19 Gage steel wire has a cross sectional area of 0.0010 square in. and a Diameter of 0.0359 inches My measurement of the wire is 0.021 inches. This is consistent with 23 Gauge steel wire. On 7/23/22 I contacted them about this discrepancy and they seemed to be baffled by the wire sizes and then later remarked "there can be a variety of "standard" wire gauge charts on the internet." The wire size calculator I am using matches perfectly with 23 Gauge steel wire, which 1/4" x 1/4" wire mesh is typically made of. After going back and forth several times over the difference between 23 Gauge wire and 19 Gauge wire they offered to take back the two rolls and refund my payment but wanted me to pay the return shipping. I refused to pay the return shipping. if they would have advertised the hardware cloth correctly as being made of 23 Gauge wire instead of falsely claiming it was made of 19 Gauge wire, I never would have purchased it to begin with. They should be responsible for there own mistake, whether it was incompetence or deliberate intent to deceive, they are the reason the two rolls have to be returned and they should pay the return shipping.

    Thank you for taking the time to message with us regarding this issue. We have researched it further and determined the material we received from the manufacturer is not up to the specs we require. The material is supposed to be 19-gauge wire, but it appears some of the rolls are in fact the lighter gauge. It was limited to a few of the rolls on one shipment,some of which were unfortunately shipped to you. Our process internally upon discovering this issue should always be to make it right for the customer and issue a full refund. The refund has been processed this morning and you should see the funds back in your account shortly. We will contact you to arrange the pick up and return of the defective rolls at no cost to you.
