I recently purchased a Stage 2 MT82 Transmission from Calimer Transmissions LLC. I also chose to purchase all the upgrade packages and everything recommended by them for my vehicle. After repeated delays in shipping, I finally received the product. Once installed I instantly noticed some flaws with the product and contacted them about the issue at hand, there was grinding and notchy feelings when shifting into gears. They told me to drive on the new transmission for 1,000 miles and that it was normal for the "break in" period. The transmission itself didn't even last for half of this "break in" period, the only thing that got broken was my wallet after the transmission came apart and it sounding like a bag of bolts was rattling in my transmission. I promptly called Calimer Transmission back to report the news, preparing to pay for the shipping cost and labor (which is already unreasonable in and of itself) but I was met with huge resistance as soon as they answered the phone. They quickly flipped through their script and found any and all excuses to throw against the wall to deflect my complaint and them not honor their work or product. They told me I needed to pay for a $300 shipping crate, which consists of 4 $5 planks you could get from lowes, pay the shipping (another $200), and send it in to them with an additional $1,500 payment to repair their mistakes. This is completely unreasonable in all shapes and form. The best solution the owner had for me was that he could help secure financing through a 3rd party company to pay for his own mistake. After digging through the internet and reading reviews on forums with similar customers I've found a graveyard of unsatisfied customers with similar horror stories and nightmares. I'm starting to doubt the fact that the transmission in which we paid nearly $4,000 for was nothing more than a slapped together used transmission from another customer with a fresh coat of spray paint on it. This matter will be pursued further.

We are sorry to hear the customer is unsatisfied with their product, however as stated in the warranty which was sent with the original purchase invoice, there are no refunds.  This is due to the fact that gears in Stage 1 and 2 transmissions are **** oem parts and do not stand up to the shock of ceramic clutches.  This is why we will always recommend organic clutches such as the ***, not ***.  The transmission in question was tested at time of shipment and in perfect working order.  In regards to shipping prices, we specifically make our crates to ensure the transmission stays at the minimum shipping weight.  Homemade crates may drastically increase the shipping cost through the provider, which would be an increased shipping price for the customer.

Date of sale-February 3rd 2023 I called calimers transmission to ask if I can order a clutch and get it here by a certain time. The sales guy said let me check, and said yes I can have it drop shipped Wednesday the 7th or Thursday the 8th. February 8th comes and nothing. I call and no one answers so I email and get a response on the 9th. Saying sorry for but they can’t get me the clutch I ordered shipped until next week. I email them right back asking to cancel order for reasons that they told me a certain time I can get the clutch and they can’t follow through, no response. I email again nothing. I call and talk with someone who says they never told me that and that he will call and cancel the order since they can’t get it to me in time. I call back next day to check up and they say sorry I forgot, apparently customers don’t mean nothing because they just forget about them. So he says I’ll call them right now and cancel it. 2 weeks go by and I call to check up again and he tells me your clutch will be shipped in a couple days…I talked with him again about everything we already went through about canceling the order and he says he can’t do anything about it. So basically the place lied to get a sale and lied over and over to buy time to complete the sale which is still hasn’t been shipped. It’s frustrating when your only vehicle is down because you get lied to from a business that just wants your money. They don’t care if you need to get back to work or take care of anything with your vehicle as long as they get a sale there set! You guys need to stop lying to people to make sales. All this could have been avoided if you would of told the truth about the shipping ETA and then if you can’t come through with what you say, give a refund!

We apologize for any inconvenience to this customer due to clutch shipping times.  We had some miscommunication with our vendor about availability of the drop shipping of their clutches.  We have refunded all fees associated with this order.
