My 82-year-old parents had a fire at their house and **** Davis actually chased the fire truck. They proceeded to kindly counsel my parents on how adjusters and the big, bad insurance companies would be bent on taking advantage of them. Trust them, as they used to work for the latter, but are now working for the good guys. After earning my parents' trust during a traumatizing event, they then proceeded to be at every visit by the insurance company. Not to protect my parents, but to gain insider knowledge on how much they could get away with charging them. They found out that my parents' ************* was set up so that they had to pay a $20k deductible and then cover the costs out of pocket and submit receipts for reimbursement after cleaning and restoration was performed. Wouldn't you know it, the cleaning estimate came in just shy of $20k! It was over 6 weeks before we received any kind of estimate for the restoration. After naively sharing the insurance adjuster's quote, **** Davis then tried to charge $20k more than what was quoted. I was able to talk them down $10k. They insisted that they would take care of negotiating with the insurance company to ensure the remaining $10k was covered. We had to contact them 6 times over three weeks and literally beg for an invoice to submit to insurance. When all was said and done, my parents ended up having to pay $10k out of pocket, which is two-months rent in their new senior living facility. This was just one of the many lies communicated by every single person at **** Davis.Another example. For the reconstruction, they quoted a 200-foot repair of stucco and a $1,600 adder for invisible hangers on a composite deck. They proceeded to have a contractor not skilled in stucco make a small patch, and use Deck Mate screws to butcher the composite boards. Then they insisted that it looked fine and they would accept this work in their own homes. YET, they tried to charge for the amount originally quoted. Fraud.
