    I was given this company from my home warranty company. The have poor operating hours M-F 10AM -5PM. My claim was entered on a Saturday and didnt hear back until Monday. Whenever I called them I would get no answer and a full voicemail box. Someone reached out to me Monday that they would contact my tenant at the end of the day with a scheduled appointment and they got no call until Tuesday telling them that someone would be by today. Later Tuesday a tech called me to let me know they had preformed a video call not in-person and the part needs to be ordered and that the pin of the stove we have seen happen numerous times get stuck in the stove but they should have the part in a day or so and that it would be covered. Came that next saturday I had not heard anything but from my warranty company that it was written up as direct abuse and not covered. ***** another company who agree it wasn't abuse.

    IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY A MINUS REVIEW I WOULD!DO NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT!NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! LET THEM IN YOUR PROPERTY THEY ARE DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!I Had a claim through American Home Shield to repair an oven in an investment property I own and they came out and said they would order parts and be back. After a while when I didn't hear from them, I called the warranty company to find out when the parts would be in, and was told that the claim had been denied because this company told them that there were roaches on some control membrane on the oven that shorted it out, and that that the claim would not be covered. I called Universal 1 office to find out what that was all about, and the person that answered was VERY VERY VERY RUDE and tried to degrade me by saying "Mam, you had not 1, but 4 roaches on the oven so the repair will not be covered" Absurd!I requested a 2nd opinion from AHS after I read their review on line and noticed that they had a pattern of sending in ridiculous, untruthful, reasons for AHS to deny customer claims. American Home Shield was about to send out KN repairs, but after reading other reviews on line , I learnt that they are a sister company to Universal 1, so they probably share notes and would probably put in the same lying diagnosis that Universal 1 previously came up with! I asked for another company to go out instead of KN, and eventually got the oven fixed without any of the drama above that Universal 1 put me through!!!!! Do not allow them to go into your property! Their ammo is : They just want money from AHS for the initial visit, but will give AHS some bogus reason why they should deny your claim, so they won't have to actually come back and actually do the work to solve your problem!!! SO VERY SAD THAT COMPANIES LIKE THIS CAN LAST THIS LONG DOING THE SAME THING!!

    Started claim 4 weeks ago - dishwasher door not locking.
    They ordered a new door, called me to make an appointment for 7AM Saturday.
    I said no - too early - now I am waiting for 3 weeks till they have enough business in my area.
    The person on the phone Nica - very unpleasant to speak with or to deal with.
    Stay away from this company.

    Absolutely unprofessional! Couldn't even book an appointment without getting talked over and threatened. I thought I was giving a great time frame of Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this was not acceptable to them and then they threatened that I wouldn't get my $75 back from American home shield.
