Originally reached out to the company looking for 1 time service and a follow up. Man on the phone told me no problem and got my order started. Sent over a document for me to sign which I did - turns out it had in the document it was for 1 year service which I was not looking for. If so I would have canceled right away. They provided 2 services which would have been the end of what we discussed on the phone. They continued to bill me monthly for service (which they were not providing on a monthly basis). I told them I wanted to cancel the contract as I do not want the service, they told me I could not since I signed the contract. They told me they could provide phone call recordings where we discussed the service contract. They did not provide the phone call recordings (assuming it was not available or because on the phone I said I only wanted a one time service with a follow up). They then told me I could cancel the contract when I sell the home (which was sold on 5/21). I provided proof of sale and they said they can service my new address so they will not cancel the contract. I do not want new service or any service at the house and want to cancel the contract in total.Business Response

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with Green Pest solutions.. I initially contacted your company over a month ago to address a rat problem in my home, and despite your repeated visits and so-called solutions, the problem persists. The rat continues to destroy my rugs, and your bait stations have been completely ineffective. Each time I call, your only response is that I need to patch a hole in my kitchensomething that should fall under your expertise as a pest control company. What is the purpose of hiring a pest control service if you are unable to catch the pests or properly prevent them from entering my home? I trusted your company to resolve this issue, yet I have seen no results, only frustration and property damage. To make matters worse, when I requested to cancel your ineffective service, I was told I am locked into a contract and must continue paying for an entire year, despite the fact that your service has failed to deliver on its promise. It is completely unacceptable to demand payment for a service that has not been successful. Furthermore, using the threat of collections to force me into continuing with a service I do not want is not only unethical but also feels like a deceptive business practice. I am demanding the immediate cancellation of my service without any further charges. I have already paid you, and I do not expect a refund, but I will not continue to pay for something that does not work. I should not be penalized for your companys failure to deliver results. Please confirm in writing that my service has been canceled immediately. If this matter is not resolved fairly, I will escalate my complaint to the appropriate consumer protection agencies.Business Response

Tenant complained of hearing racoons in the ceiling. I was told they would be able to treat the issue. Unknown to me, they go spray the grass outside the house, dont speak to tenant about what is being seen or heard inside the house and just kept billing me. Now tenant is complaining that the racoon issue was never solved. And Green pest solutions refuses to cancel the contract.If you have me on record calling for service about racoons, how are you billing me when you did not treat the racoon issue!?This is a scam.Business Response

Our customer service manager, *** spoke with the customer who was very upset per her comments in the case. *** tried to explain our service but customer continued to yell throughout the call and ask why she would sign up with us for racoons if we don't treat for them. *** tried to explain it seemed like a rodent issue which we do and have been treating for. She kept saying we don't talk to the tenant and we just do outside. The last appointment noted that we spoke to the tenant + pics of entry point to help with anything entering, etc. *** explained that she was still in the first year and cancelling would result in us invoicing out. Customer she just to cancel and invoice out and hung up.

I called and asked that my contract not renew. I was continuing to get charged and then was told by a different person that I couldn't cancel at that time and supposedly my call was recorded but conveniently left out the part where I asked not to renew. They wouldn't give me my payment back and they never even provided service for that payment. This is the 2nd time this happened to me.Business Response

They doubled billed me. on 5-1-2024 the took from my account *****. on 5-31 of same year they took ***** from same account. I filed complaint with my bank they investigated and credited ***** back to my account. I notified company and told them I wanted to cancel service as I do not like their billing practices. I was only getting a quarterly service. They said I owed them ***** and if I did not pay It would jump to $177.00. Now the balance owed is 177. plus interest which will keep accruing until I pay. They keep calling and record our conversation. They also said I signed a Year contract and have to pay for entire year of service. I am retired and widowed, I have no memory of signing a contract. When I called and asked how much service was, I was told *****. Not true, its 3 times that, I paid ******, plus *****. I want the contract cancelled and $177 plus interest wiped off, this is not a truthful company.Business Response

Our customer service manager, ***, was able to get ahold of the customer this morning. She apologized for any confusion with the agreement and billing and explained she signed on for our ******************** which does invoice monthly. The customer said she just wants to cancel it. *** let her know she could help, and we can take care of this for her.She agreed to pay for what she received so we processed payment for the $117.18 (2 monthly invoices towards the 1 quarterly service) and adjusted off the remainder of the balance/waived the remaining 9 monthly invoices of the cancellation contract. *** assured her no further charges would occur and this will be cancelled effective today.Initial Complaint

The transaction took place last Saturday. I paid $594. The business committed to addressing the mice infestation. The business provided a temporary solution (of a copper mesh and bait) and did not explain that this is temporary because the mice can (they did!) push through the mesh. The business did not explain the poison on the mouse traps does not transfer mouse to mouse, so even if some mice eat the poison and die, more mice will come in (we cant assume all mice will eat the poison or there will be enough poison for all mice.) as a result, I saw four mice just steps away from my bed, crawling over my clothes. I could not sleep in my own bed and had to leave the apartment alone past midnight. Green Pest solutions did not do much to solve the problem, they said theyll come in four days later and put in more of the same temporary solution unless I BUY spray foam (after paying $594 to them?!) this is the worst service I ever received and I want money back.Business Response

Our customer service manager, ***, gave the customer a call apologizing for her experience and to let her know that the products are working but that it does take some time before all mice are gone. We typically do about a two week follow up but *** did reach out to a service manager and got approval to come out sooner,tomorrow, which the customer was pleased with. Were sending out one of our most experienced senior techs, *****, to reinspect, check for entry, refresh bait/etc.
*** let her know sometimes mice can take a few treatments to get under control but ***** would be able to provide more insight on issues,treatment, recommendations, etc. tomorrow. We will follow up with her early next week to see how things are going.Initial Complaint

Green pest solutions is ineffective at pest control for ants. Started contract with them on March 7 still having ant issues and I called to cancel appt for April 7 and they charged me for service that I didn’t receive

ON 4/19/22 GREEN PEST SOLUTIONS TREATED MY HOME FOR ANTS..THEY ASKED IF I WANTED MONTHLY TREATMENT .I AGREED. PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD.I HAD TO CANCEL CREDIT CARD ON 8/6/22. VOICEMAIL ON PHONE END OF AUGUST REQUESTING NEW CREDIT CARD FROM GREEN PEST.I THEN REALIZED THEY WERE EXTRACTING MONTHLY PAYMENTS FROM OLD CARD..I WOULDN'T GIVE THEM NEW CARD .THEY SENT WORKER TO MY HOME MIDDLE OF SEPTEMBER. I REFUSED HIM ENTRANCE.THEY SAID I OWED AUGUST ,SEPTEMBER AND THEY WERE AT MY HOME IN JUNE AND TREATED MY HOME FOR WASPS .MY PROBLEM WAS ANTS .WHY DIDN'T HE COME INTO MY HOME AND TREAT THAT PROBLEM.? THEY WERE NOT IN MY IN MY HOME ONCE IN THE 5 MONTHS FOLLOWING THE FIRST VISIT. I HAVE A CARE PERSON THAT LIVES WITH ME THAT CAN VERIFY THIS FACT. SHE TENDS TO MY WIFE WHO IS A BED-RIDDEN DEMENTIA PATIENT AND IS NEVER ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE UNLESS I AM THERE. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH SEVERAL OF THESE PEOPLE AND OFFERED TO PAY THE ONE VISIT THAT I REFUSED HIM ENTRANCE .THEY SAID ,THEY WANT ME TO KEEP PAYING FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR. I bought the one-year solution from them, it is supposed to conduct 4 times quarterly inspections inside. The 3rd quarter service they said they will call me to schedule anything, but they never did that. Then the 4th quarter service, they called me and I asked them to schedule the time with my tenants directly. But they never called to schedule with us. They just go and did the inspection outside without telling me anything. I found out by the result of the email! We had the condo in the community, and the exterior was managed by the community, I didn't get why would the outside needed to be inspected anyway! I wasn't really going to complain about it until I received the collection letter from the company! They automatically charged me for one year but now is already halfway through the year, and they didn't do any service at all but charged me and sent the balance to the collection company. Please correct the bill and remove the balance from collection company.This company is TERRIBLE and how they operate the company crazy. They don't care about anything but money!Business Response

Our office manager, ***, sent an email and called and left a message for the customer explaining that after the last time the customer called in on 11/21, we did write off the 2nd year renewal and removed from collections within 24 hours of that phone call. The account was cancelled out as well since 11/21. Ms was also removed from collections within 24 hours, but the collection agency may have already mailed her a letter which is what she received today. I signed up for a yr long plan to treat mice problem with an initial treatment of $140. The tech came with traps. A month a later, nothing was caught, yet mice still can be heard. There was supposed to be a second treatment due in one month which is tomorrow 10/17/22. I did not receive any phone call. When i called to cancel the service they claimed they would come tomorrow. I do not appreciate the inaccurate information the business provided. He did not wait for 20-30 minutes. The appointment was scheduled for 12:30 pm. He called me at 12:41 to let me know he was there. I do not live at that property. I missed his call and called back right away as soon as I saw it which was 5 minutes later. I told him to knock on the door downstairs, my cousin would let him in. He knocked and no one answered right away, so he called me. Again I missed the phone call so I called back after 5 minutes, he wasnt there anymore. My cousin was in the bathroom so she couldnt answer the door right away. The business response was very accusatory and not truthful. The last time someone went to my property he left 3 traps which caught no mice. If all they do is placing traps, we could do it too. I would much prefer a refund than deal with this business.Regards,

We have canceled the customer's account and refunded her. When our office manager, ***, spoke with the customer a couple weeks ago she was happy with this resolution and said she would remove her BBB complaint so I am surprised to see our resolution rejected. I'm not sure what else we can do. We have attempted to come out three times, done our best to set the right expectations, and now have refunded / cancelled her account.
