Sanbury Construction was hired to remodel our basement at our home in April, 2022. ***************************, owner, provided a signed contract where he specifically indicated the following: Sanbury will:-Provide a $1,000,000 Insurance certificate with home owner (*********************) as the certificate holder -Provide contractor license #****** -Provide a 10yr workmanship warranty for service on project -Begin 4-6 weeks from signing of project and approval of zoning and building permits -Complete project ***** days from signing of project -Apply for and secure all zoning building permits ****** never provided or completed any of the listed items above. The project started in April and finished in September. ****** never hired licensed plumbers or electricians and the plumbing work was done incorrectly. Unfortunately, we can't use the newly installed shower as it floods the basement. When confronted with all the errors, ****** sent a text stating he had contracted and "paid" ****** to fix the plumbing issues in the basement. They were scheduled to come out on October 23rd. ****** and the plumber never showed up and neither have reached out since. We hired law firm *************************************************** to send a letter to have Sanbury honor its warranty and correct the improper work at the property. They never responded to both letters the attorneys sent and per the attorney it would cost just as much what we paid Sanbury to proceed with a lawsuit. If we go to trial and are granted the judgement, there is still no guarantee that Sanbury will reimburse us for the damages done or return to finish the job properly. It's a lose - lose situation. We paid Sanbury a total of $48,338.00. Sanbury's new work address is: *******************************************************************. This situation has caused tremendous heartache and stress. Our hope is that this business is reported and dealt with accordingly so that no one else suffers at the hands of ****************************We thank and appreciate you in reviewing this matter.

I hired this contractor, Manuel S*************, on 6/10/2022 for ceiling repair at my home. He gave me a quote of $970.23 for the repair. I signed an electronic contract by e-mail. I paid him a deposit of $485.11 by check. He did not schedule to do the repair within 5-7 days, which is a breach in the contract. He scheduled the repair on 7/12/2022. Our appointment was for 8am, he and his team did not appear until 11am. Once he appeared, he told me that he did not have enough materials for the job, and he had to purchase more. I asked if that would increase the total price and he stated our quote would go up. I asked him why would the price increase since he gave the initial quote, he stated that he did not get to look at the ceiling well enough nor did he get up on a ladder to fully inspect the job. I requested the new quote in writing & told him we could not continue for the day because he was now charging an additional fee. I requested my deposit back since he decided to again breach the contract by changing the price. He has since ignored all of my phone calls and e-mails. He has not contacted me back or refunded my deposit (which he agreed to).
