Sometime last year in 2022 around about September or October, I was contacted by *** *********** * *********** claiming I owed a debt from my previous Landlord Mickley Run Apartment in the amount of $3775. I informed the representative at the time that was impossible and incorrect. I explained my payment was never late and paid in full. Including Mickley Run Apartments informed me they would not be renewing my upcoming lease.During this time my wife and I was going through a divorce and I was not living at the resident. Therefore I kept paying the rent as required until my lease ended. The non renewal of the lease was a benefit ensuring I end all connection with my wife. Once my lease ended in April, I surrendered the key to the office manager. Later I discovered that my ex-wife still living in the resident assuming the office manager renewed the lease with my ex-wife for her name was on the lease as a joint while i was living at the residence. Later I discovered the Mickley Run had file a Recover of Real Property hearing against my ex-wife well after my lease ended and keys was surrendered. I informed the representative this is not my debt and its an issue with my ex-wife. I fulfilled all obilgations required on my end. Including I have documentation stating this debt is indeed my wife for the paperwork Mickley Run Apartments filed in court was against her. Now i check my credit report and was disturbed to find out this building and collections agency placed a collection on my credit report. As a result,I have been turned down when trying to secure funding and opening accounts with different retailers. This is an attempt to extort money from myself instead of the swatter who their issue seems to be with.
