    I signed a lease with a Lafayette in Garden apartments with a move-in date of September 15, 2023. I got there on September 15 to move into the apartment, and the office was closed and I had no keys. I saw the cleaning lady who happened to have keys to the apartment so I asked her to let me in. When I was viewing the apartment prior to September 15, I advised **** ****** in the front office, that the carpet in the room was filthy, and there were several things in the apartment that were not up to standard, including blow out lightbulbs, which I asked them to replace. on September 15, Upon entrance to the apartment, the young lady that clean the apartment, advised me that the carpet had been shampooed twice, yet , there was still pet hair and feces encrusted in the carpet (which made me an easy and made me began to question if I wanted the apartment). I advised her that I would not take the apartment in those conditions and contacted the owner who offered to remove the carpet and fix everything that was wrong with the apartment and put in a laminate floor, in hopes that I would keep the apartment. I suggested to *** ****** that we should just change the the month on the lease till October which would start the new lease October 15, 2023. *** ****** told me that he could not do that because he was not willing to lose another half a month of rent , he then instructed me to move in on October 1 saying that we would sign a new lease and I would move in, I questioned it and mentioned it because October 1 would fall on a Sunday. He assured me that this would not be a problem and that I should still move in on October 1, 2023. again on October 1, 2023. I decided on October 1 on my way there that I was not gonna deal with the irresponsibility of this company and decided not to take the apartment because again the office was closed and I had no keys. I never signed a new lease or set foot in the apartment. I never even got the key in my hand and they are keeping my money
