April 20, 2023. I purchased a case of ****** Lite bottles. The first employee went in the refrigerator section of the store. He returned and said that they were sold out of bottled cases. He went to the other side of the stored and returned with four six packs of bottled ****** Lite. The second employee finished the sales transaction. Charging me $29.99. I was in the area visiting, so I was not aware of the prices and the prices were not visible in the store. I asked for a receipt. I then asked a local if they would call and ask how much they charge for a case of ****** Lite. She told them about my issue and the employee stated that they charged me for two twelve packs instead of a case. He said that's the way they ring it up. On April 21, 2023. My local friend called and asked to speak with a supervisor, and the supervisor then said that they charge $28 for a case of ****** Lite plus tax. I was obviously given two different stories. Had they told me they were charging me for two twelve packs instead of a case, or if they prices listed. I would have taken my business elsewhere. My receipt showed nothing but the amount of $29.99 nothing was itemized. I feel like they had a day to make up a story to let the supervisor know.

****** Lite 12 oz. bottles are available in our market in three different packages and each is considered a case of twenty-four: ****** Lite 24 loose NR, 2/12 pack NR and 4/6 pack NR. Due to limited space in my store I only carry the 2/12 pack NR and 4/6 pack NR as this offers a variety of choices. A A customer can purchase a whole case a twelve pack or a 6 pack. In this particular case the customer should have been sold the 2/12 pack case at a total cost of $28.93 rather than the 4/6 pack case at a total cost of $29.99. When the woman called and spoke with my manager he was not familiar with the incident but said that he would research the days sales to find out what exactly was rung up. He took her phone number so that he could call her back with his findings. That is exactly what he did. Attached you will find a copy of the sale ring and a copy of the customers credit card receipt. My manager called her back and explained that the sale was for a case of 4/6 pack 12 oz bottles. I do not know why my clerks sold the case that way rather than as a 2/12 pack case. As for the receipt, he was given a standard credit card processing receipt. An itemized cash register receipt could have been provided, if so requested, at the time of purchase. I apologize for amy comfusion this may have caused.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The information that you provided in your response, further informs me that I was not made aware of the difference between a whole case price, a 12 pack price, and a 6 pack price. You stated that I should have been sold the price of a 2/12 pack case. I believe I should have been charged for the cost of 1 case as I requested. I was told that you were out of cases of bottled beer. I was not told that I could purchase a case of bottled beer at the cost of a 2/12 pack. Asking for an itemized receipt would not have been helpful, because I am not from the area and I do not know the prices of beer. Prices of kegs were advertised. I did not see other prices of 6-packs or 12- packs. That is why the woman inquired about the cost. She felt that $29.99 was high for a case of that particular beer.

    Regards,
