I was sold one 2023 ********************************* Harley ********* The bike was said to be a great running bike i will have no problems. When i purchased the 2023 INDIAN CHIEF in October 2024 the day of pickup upon arrival to ************ The 2023 Indian Chief Bike was not inspected prior to my arrival nor did anyone adjust suspension for riding height. I was told the bike had completely new fluids upon my request. I bought the bike with 1200 miles. During the 2 months i drove the bike the gas guage wasnt working. The Power switch did not consistently turn the power on. The ignition did not fire the ignition to spark or turn the bike over the first or second times trying. The suspension started making noise. The oil burned dark in color during the 1600 miles i put on bike. The engine showed signs of rust on the lifter rod housing. I pursued the claim with manufacture(INDIAN) 2 months after purchase. Sales Dealer at HORSEPOWER ****** said there is nothing they can do and laughed at me told me i should have bought a harley. I spoke with previous owner he said he endured the same issues. As advised by HORSEPOWER i delivered the bike TO: NORTHAMERICAN WARHORSE DUNMORE, **, to be worked on. Bike has been AT N.AMERICAN WARHORSE since MARCH 11 2025. Approx APRIL 14 i spoke with tech at NAMERICAN WARHORSE.I was Told April 14 "THE *** ISNT DELIVERING POWER TO STABILIZE THE BATTERY". My follow up speaking with NAmerWarHorse as of 5/15/2025 i was told it was the battery that needed replacement and ill get a new battery. Making that the 3rd battery needed in a 2 year old vehicle with a factory warranty that ive driven 2 months. AND I was lied to. To my knowledge i learned through this my *********************************************************************************************************************** I was sold a bike that had problems and then i was laughed at by the dealership i bought it from.

RE: Response to Consumer Complaint ***** ***** / 2023 Indian Chief Motorcycle
    Complaint ID ********

Dear ************************** you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by ***** ***** regarding the purchase of a 2023 Indian Chief motorcycle from our dealership.

We take customer concerns seriously and strive to provide honest, transparent, and fair service to all our customers. After reviewing the complaint and conducting an internal review of the sales and service records, we would like to offer the following summary of the transaction and our findings:

Mr. ***** purchased a pre-owned 2023 Indian Chief motorcycle from our dealership on October 11, 2024. The vehicle was sold as-is, with no warranty provided by Horsepower ***************. However, the motorcycle did include a factory extended warranty issued by Indian Motorcycle, valid through April 22,2026.

At the time of purchase, Mr. ***** expressed satisfaction with the condition of the motorcycle. We were not made aware of any issues or concerns until a few months after the purchase.

In January 2025, Mr. ***** forwarded an email he had sent to Indian Motorcycle expressing concerns about his motorcycle. On May 22, 2025, we received your offices email regarding his complaint, which indicated that the motorcycle had been taken to North American Warhorse, an authorized Indian dealer, for repairs.

On May 23, we followed up with North American Warhorse. They confirmed that all necessary mechanical repairs were completed and covered under the Indian Motorcycle Extended Warranty, except for cosmetic issues such as rust and paint chipping on the handlebars, which are not covered under the factory warranty. They also informed us that they were in the process of completing the state inspection, pending receipt of ******************** card and registration.
Attached please find a copy of the work order from North American Warhorse.

On June 3, we reviewed an email from Mr. ***** dated May 31,in which he requested reimbursement for the motorcycle. That same day, we contacted Mr. ***** and advised him that the motorcycle had been repaired under the factory extended warranty, except for the cosmetic concerns noted above. We also reminded him that North American Warhorse has attempted to contact him numerous times and is awaiting his insurance and registration documents in order to finalize the state inspection and return the motorcycle to him.

In an effort to offer additional support, we informed Mr. ***** that if he is dissatisfied with the motorcycle, we would be willing to consider a trade-in or buy-back at fair market value.

We believe we have acted in good faith and within the scope of all legal obligations, and we remain committed to working with Mr. ***** and your office to ensure a fair and reasonable outcome.

I have attached a copy of the bill of sale, as is no warranty, buyers guide, and the work order from North American Warhorse as mentioned earlier.
Please let us know if any additional information or documentation is required.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******

     Complaint: 23351755

    I am rejecting this response.

After a recent conversation with HORSE POWER ****** ********* I,THE CONSUMER, Was blamed for purchasing the bike again. H.P.H.D. QUOTE, YOU SHOULDVE BOUGHT A ******, QUOTE, EVERYONE HERE SAID U SHOULDVE BOUGHT A ******. HORSEPOWER ****** clearly believes the bike they sold me is a bad motorcycle, but, went on to say, QUOTE There is no way we can reimburse the bike.

It appears very much that H.P.H.D. does not want to take responsibility for the hidden service history of my 2023 INDIAN motorcycle. That is clearly a deception that happened inside The **************. THE NORTH AMERICAN WARHORSE DEALERSHIP, AND,THE HORSEPOWER HARLEY DAVIDSON DEALERSHIPS acted together.

There are a number of concerns that i have continuously expressed on my behalf to no conclusion with Polaris, Indian, *********** ******* and, North American Warhorse.
I drove the motorcycle in a total of 2 months to where i began contact expressing my concerns in the beginning of December with Polaris and Indian that began and endless chain of contacts regarding the 2023 Indian motorcycle I purchased from HORSPOWER ****** DAVIDSON.

After a thorough investigation it has been learned that the seller (Horsepower Harley Davidson) failed to disclose the service history of my motorcycle.

Myself, the purchaser, at the time of the purchase entrusted *********** ********************* and QUOTE,They Do Not Write Warranties for Indian Motorcycles. I was told the bike was a Dependable Safe Motorcycle That Had No History of Any Problems. I was told by the **************** At H.P.H.D., The INDIAN Warranty IS Much Better Than ANY Warranty We Could Give You. And, Your not going to any problems with this bike for a long time.
The service history of my motorcycle was hid from me and my life was put at risk.

As a consumer Im asking that HORSEPOWER HARLEY DAVIDSON of THE WARHORSE GROUP take full responsibility in a complete reimbursement of MY 2023 INDIAN CHIEF.

well i bought a 2013 ****** C50T from horsepower .. it looked pretty under the lights in their store but .. once outside i could see the problems .. such as a ripped saddlebag and scrapes on the exhaust pipes .. and then took off the seat in thoughts of putting a different seat on it .. found a broken out hole in the rear fender .. i just talked to ***** today at horsepower .. and he told me .. i could just trade it in .. in which case i would have to piggyback a loan to the existing loan .. for a bike that had hidden damage .. which case either they did not go over the bike before putting it on the floor or failed to tell me about things. I wasnt offered a test drive .. i was offered nothing .. not a better deal or nothing .. it wasnt worth what i spent for it through them. I would just like a buyback of the bike .. and i would take my business elsewhere.

I am the Co-owner of the complaint filed last night, 3/14/24 by ***************************. This is concerning the purchase of a 2013 FLHTCU Harley ******** on 1/20/24, through Horsepower HD, in ************. My complaint is the same as his, yet with me being a co-buyer and not being able to list my name with his, since I still carry ****** as my last name. We thought we may need to file twice. Especially since I as well don't remember signing a non-acceptance of the *** offer, **************** Program/Policy. Or at least I never heard them bring it up, as to that is what we, **** signed. The sale/contract does have an "As Is", yet they assured us the bike was in good condition. To reconfirm the issues we encountered on the first possible ride due to weather conditions; The Speedometer bounced all over the place, which was entirely unsafe for us being on the road. We had no idea how fast we were traveling. The oil pressure gauge was holding basically at 60. The shifter indicator light was blinking off and on while in a steady gear, in other words the bike wasn't being shifted during the blinking.. The bike stalled out, upon coming to a stop. We called the shop 3 times while along side the road, to bring this to their attention and asked what they are going to do about it. It was stated by management, they would fix it, yet it would be an out pocket expense to us. This is not satisfactory. Thank you for your time investigating our complaint.

We purchased the 2013 FLHTCU bike on 1/20/24. We rode the bike for the first time, today, 3/14/24. We found the dashboard lights out, the speedometer bouncing all over, so we didn't know the speed of the bike, which is a huge safety factor. The shifter indicator light was blinking off and on, the oil pressure gage, was pegged at 60, and upon approaching a stop, the bike stalled. We called the ** shop 3 times with the issues while on the road. Being transferred twice, once to repair and once to the manager. She wouldn't talk with us, just stated they would repair with out of pocket being our expense. The co buyer did not sign the "As Is" sale, yet they have her name on other paperwork. Although they say they went over purchasing an ESP. I dont remember the explanation of what that is, yet I signed a refusal. They stated the bike was fine/ok.
