I’m so embarrassed by what Dr Henderson did to my foot. I went to my family Dr about something unrelated and while there, I asked her if my toenail looked ingrown at all. Every winter it gets slightly ingrown from ski boots.
My Dr said it looked like it was and I could have it looked at by a specialist. So I agreed and went to Dr Henderson. The office techs were very nice but my experience unfortunately will stick with me the rest of my life.
So she said my toenail was ingrown and would have to come out, even though it didn’t hurt me and wasn’t infected. She said she could do it that same day… so I agreed.
I thought it was weird she didn’t remove my toenail polish or tie it off so that the numbing needle wouldn’t hurt.
I thought it would be for the best… but she actually took more than half of my toenail! I wish so badly I never went there. I’m so embarrassed by what she did. Frankly I do not think there was any reason for her to take that much of my toenail… as you can see from the pictures, a small sliver would have taken care of it.
Originally she said I needed both feet done but when I went for my follow up and other foot, I asked if some of it would grow back or fill in but nope… it will always look this way and then all of a sudden she said I didn’t need the other foot done and could wait until it bothered me…
Also, now my entire toe nail is falling off.
Hopefully I can find someone who can help me try to make them look somewhat similar.
I’m just so sick to my stomach about what she did and plus I paid over $300 and still owe over $80 more bc of the “Dr visit” when I was supposed to have the second foot done but obviously decided not to. How am I supposed to pay this bill when I know this is dramatic but also it is so embarrassing and now stuck with this for the rest of my life. I never leave bad reviews but I had to in this case.
