    I filed claim for "trip interruption" with this travel insurance agency. Me (and 2 of my friends) booked vacation (to Ecuador) in June, and paid for full coverage (premium) insurance for all reasons. Our trip was delayed for 24 hours due to flight cancellation (reason that we cannot control), as well as transportation fees that we paid since we arrived 24 hours later, and company had to assign driver to pick us up at airport at Ecuador and catch up with the group. We lost 24 hours of vacation that include 1 night at Hilton hotel at Quito, Ecuador, trips that were planned for that day.
    Upon return to US, I filed claim with our travel insurance company, and submitted all documentation that they requested, including receipt for travel expense, proof of flight cancellation, proof of flight rescheduling for next day in 24 hours. However, so far company does not return my requests for update, does not issue any refunds. The only email from this company was reply from :claim examiner" without name, which was totally unrelated to my questions.
    This company is fraud, and they just collect money without issuing any service and any explanations.

I would like to clarify the roles of the parties involved, TravelSafe is the processing center for the short term travel protection plan you purchased. TravelSafe travel protection is underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company, Co-ordinated Benefit Plan, is the third party administrator that is contracted by United States Fire Insurance Company to provide claims adjudication services. TravelSafe has contacted Co-Ordinated Benefit Plan to follow up with your concerns regarding your TravelSafe claim and have been advised a partial payment was approved and additional information was requested. While we understand the frustration of the handling of your claim, all claims must be processed in accordance with the policy language, without proper documentation a claim can not be processed in it's entirety. If you have any further concerns regarding your claim, please feel free to contact TravelSafe.

    Bad business..used them for travel insurance, 2 yrs later I still can't get the money I spent on a trip I couldn't go on.

    I'm sorry to hear you are having an issue having a claim taken care of. We are not the claim administrator, we are the processing center, however if you contact our office we will be glad to research your claim and see how we can help. Please call TravelSafe at ************ and advise the representative you are calling regarding an outstanding claim matter, you will need to provide your certificate number so they can assist you.
