Formal complaint regarding unjust invoice I received for heating system repairs in my former office. From the time I moved into the office in winter ********, the heating system never functioned properly. I have dozens of emails w/ the management company (*********) from that first year alone about heating issues, & ********* repeatedly sent staff to address the problem. My ****************** raised ongoing concerns about the heating. Despite these efforts, the issues persisted, & gas & electric bills were consistently unreasonably high. For comparison, I live in a single-family home in the same zip code as a family of five, & my homes heating bills were consistently half to two-thirds the cost of the office's ******** the end of 2023 I was informed to contact Walton directly for heating issues. Up until that point, my fees to Walton were paid through my rent to *********. Since then, I have paid Walton over $5,500 directly for ongoing maintenance yet the issues continued.Six weeks before my 38-month lease ended, the heating system again failed to maintain a temperature above 55 degrees. After I requested service, I was billed an additional $2,000. It is unreasonable & unacceptable to charge me for a repair at the end of my lease for a system that had been dysfunctional for three years.Additionally, despite promptly responding to a recent email about this invoice, I also received a paper copy. This feels excessive & bordering on harassment, particularly since I have communicated about this issue multiple times. I am now concerned that this invoice will be sent to collections, which could negatively affect my excellent credit rating.Resolution Requested:I request that this invoice be voided immediately. Given the long-standing heating issues, lack of clear communication, and the unreasonable timing of the charge, I should not be held responsible for this cost.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

    Hi,

I did not follow up because it was unclear what the business' actually response was going to be from their letter.  Are they resolving the bill directly with the landlord and I no longer need to do anything?  Has the bill been voided so it does not impact my financial/credit standing?  He did not directly answer any of those questions in his letter so I am unsure how to proceed.

    Thank you,
