I paid over $1500 to this company who guaranteed they could ban my bed bug infestation for good. That didn’t happen. So they came and acted like they were treating my house for a year. They had me throw out living room furniture to help resolve the problem. It didn’t help. Eventually I took matters into my own hands because I got tired of spending money and being lied too. I threw out to much furniture and beds to still have that issue. The infestation is still bad. The promised a service and that the result would be total extermination and no more bugs. I got ripped off and lied too. And eventually they started ignoring me. They kept trying to charge me for treatments, that weren’t working.

    Dear *** *******:

First, thank you for providing us the opportunity to respond to this customer's complaint.  Thank you also for allowing me time to collect all in the information to be able to respond fully and completely on Critter Crushers' behalf.

*** ***** contacted Critter Crushers, herein after CC, on or about July 1, 2021 for treatment of her home due to a bedbug infestation.  A treatment specialist went to her home and evaluated her house for treatment.  At the time of the evaluation, it was found that not only did *** ***** have a bed bug infestation, she also had a mice infestation.  Additionally, due to the difficulty in treating bed bugs, *** ***** was provided with the document attached as Exhibit A to prepare for the treatment of her home.

As you can see on Exhibit A, it is encouraged that those who have bed bug infestation live in a clutter free environment.  This includes the removal of items that are not necessary and boxing up those items in plastic bags or containers.  Moreover, self-help is discouraged as "typically [this] just makes matters worse as inexperienced individuals who lack the professional training and licensing to get the proper chemicals often just cause the problem to explode."

Unfortunately, *** ***** did not declutter her house and then also started with self-help remedies including using Diatomaceous Earth.  (Please see *** *****'s text messages as Exhibit B). *** *****, despite numerous times advising her to the contrary, continued to move infested items in and out of her home causing her entire home to become reinfested.  It is understood that *** ***** works a very demanding job and that she may not have been able to adequately clean and declutter her home, however, we have continued to attempt to work with her without additional charges despite her failures to follow our clear instructions.

At the present time, CC has provided *** ***** with almost $1000 worth of free services, even after she has filed this complaint.  As recently as Friday, October 28, 2022, CC has attempted to gain access to her home to continue the treatment options.  As you can see in the notes of the Invoice, the house remains cluttered with piles of clothes and other items which prevent the complete eradication of bed bugs.

It is believed that CC has successful eradicated the mice infestation *** ***** complained about more than a year ago. However, since it is referenced throughout the file, CC feels the need to mention it.

I hope this provides you with the information that you need to close this file in our favor.  Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at the number above to discuss.

    Very truly yours,

    Whitney M. , Esq.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I previously have filed a complaint against this business. After filing the complaint the owner (Mike) of Critter Crushers came to my home and told me he would make everything right, and would do treatments until the issue is resolved. He came out and did two treatments. I have reached out to Mike multiple times since and he has not responded. At this point I want my money back, but to do that I would have to sue him for all the furniture and stuff I’ve had to throw out. The $1500-$1600 I paid him is nothing compared to what this entire situation has cost me. I need constant communication from this employer as well as the pest problem resolved since his site and him promised it. I tried reaching out to Mike Friday again, before filing this complaint. I prefer to have text communications for protection purposes. I was also told that these chemicals were not harmful to humans or pets. The date of the last treatment, an ambulance had to be called for my daughter, who is three years of age because she put a *** tart in a vase that had the powder that they use in it. She proceeded to start turning blue, and having trouble breathing, the problem resolved on its own, probably due to the fact that it was just a small amount, but the chemicals are harmful. My family and I did not realize it was the chemicals (powder) until my daughter was feeling better and she showed us what made her sick, she let us to her *** tart that had the powder in it. I let Mike know that this had happened. I did not blame him because it was not his fault that extra powder had fallen into something, but I haven’t heard from him since. Quite frankly, I am getting tired of filing reports. I need this issue resolved I paid for a service I paid thousands of that I expected to be done if they cannot provide it then they need to hire somebody and pay them so that I can be provided. I’ve spent over 6 to 10 grand on replacing furniture.

Find a chemical that works, make regular treatments until issue is resolved, OR Pay ******* ** in full so they can provide the proper service

    Regards,

    ******* *****
