      I originally requested Knoechel service September 30, 2021, because the unit was leaking. Their technician determined that I needed a new control board. The part was installed and everything paid for. Issues with my Goodman seemed to be resolved. Then I had a reoccurrence and the board seemed to fail again on October 18, 2021. So the board was replaced again. Both times their technicians were helpful and professional. The second technician spent time on the phone with a representative from the control board company about the board and they authorized the replacement. The board worked fine from then until now when I attempted to turn on the Goodman for the summer. The board seems to have shorted again and the previous issue has returned. I requested return service to resolve this as my family and I are now entering a weekend with temperatures in the 90s the whole weekend and my Goodman not working. AFTER I MADE CONTACT WITH THE COMPANY. The decision is in… I am being billed for work previously paid for and then neglected, not once, but twice, by Knoechel! Refer to the aforementioned details. Summary is my a/c unit was leaking due to a blockage of a drain in the coolant area which shorted out the control board and it was overlooked by the techs twice. I gave them the opportunity to do the right thing, but here’s what happened instead: I was called by Jason Thompson the President and received all types of excuses as to why the issue was overlooked or missed... ‘it was the wrong season,’ ‘they may have had the unit set on heat and didn’t realize it,’ etc. Finally Jason admitted and told me; “Look, I admit it, we missed it… we missed it. Okay, but I have techs to pay. It’s an expensive part and I am willing to eat that charge, and the insurance won’t even cover the part. But I’m going to have to bill you the for the service. I have to pay my techs for their time.” So now I’m being made to pay twice for their negligence. Very disappointing!
