  I had high hopes when adopting my Havanese puppy from ***, but the experience fell short due to several avoidable issues. While the breeder provides thorough communication and support after adoption, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency around the 4% credit card fee, which I would have avoided if informed in advance. More concerning, the puppy tested positive for Giardia within seven days of adoption, leading to unexpected expenses and stress. Additionally, the breeders multiyear health guarantee is contingent on purchasing specific food products (Lifes Balance) from which they likely receive a commission. Upon researching, I discovered the recommended food lists chicken meal as the first ingredient, rather than simply chicken, which is disappointing for a premium product. Overall, the lack of clarity, added financial burdens, and questionable product recommendations made this experience fall far below expectations.

While this information has always been available on our website, we understand that in the excitement of meeting a puppy, its easy to overlook details.Enhanced Parasite Prevention: **************** with our veterinarian, weve updated our deworming protocols and implemented a new treatment to ensure comprehensive parasite prevention. As part of our commitment to providing healthy pups, we routinely rotate dewormers to combat potential resistance and account for exposure risks via returned dogs and outdoor playtimes with our older pups and ********* address the Lifes Abundance food and health guarantee. We always offer a 2-year health guarantee on all our pups no matter what you feed them. We only offer an outstanding, extended, 6-year health guarantee if Lifes Abundance dog food and Nuvet supplements are given because we truly believe in these products. They are made with human grade ingredients and have never had a recall! The term meal gets a bad rap but the only time you really want to avoid the term meal is if its a corn or gluten meal. Some dog foods contain whole chicken or chicken parts, which naturally contain a fair amount of water. Lifes Abundance uses chicken meal because most of the water has been removed, making it a concentrated source of protein. This means that there is a greater protein content in one pound of chicken meal versus one pound of whole chicken or chicken parts. We have personally seen this breed live long happy healthy lives on this protocol and we have also seen puppy parents have problems with their dogs when they feed other options which is why we offer such an incredibly long guarantee.Regarding your concerns, we understand how upsetting it can be to discover parasites. Parasites can be contracted quickly, even immediately after adoption. Its also worth noting that natural immunity often resolves minor exposures.We have not received any documentation verifying the presence of parasites and the date they were detected nor have we received any response from you in regard to our last email.Our ultimate goal is to ensure youre happy and confident with your puppy and our process.   We have three RFH Havanese pups! They are 13 yrs, 9 yrs, and 8 monthsMaya, *****, and Tigger are living the life in sunny **. We are so happy to found RFH many years ago. They are the best breeder of the most beautiful, healthy, and playful pups! Their process from start to finish when getting a new puppy from them is exceptional!   We have two Royal Flush Havanese in our house. It was a rough go with our first puppy. But Royal Flush stepped up with caring mind and helped us getting ***** in our home. Two years later ****** came into our arms from Royal Flush Havanese. She is still a wrecking ball. But we have laughed and enjoyed our puppies. ***** and ****** play and the Newf Bunny sleeps.
