I was billed $385 on Friday 1/19/24 right before the billing department left for the weekend. When calling the front desk, I told the secretary what had happened and she placed me on hold, then hung up. I had to call back twice to get someone else to answer the phone. A different woman had picked up the phone and said nobody is here to help me and I will have to wait until Monday to speak to billing. I have left their billing department a voicemail three times so far with no call back. I never authorized this payment nor had I been to the practice in at least a month. I am not sure what this payment is and am not getting any answers. Im a single mother and needed that money for daycare and had to report it as a fraud transaction and closed my card. This has left me very stressed and worried about bills since I am on a tight budget. I am now short on my other bills for the month and want answers as to why this transaction was made without my consent.

    Hello *******,

Someone from our billing department will reach out to you today to explain why the card that you left on file when you signed out Financial Policy has been charged. Typically, this occurs when the remaining balance due for a bill is the patient's responsibility and you have been sent a bill in the mail that has not been paid.  We can setup a payment plan if it is needed.  You will hear from someone in our office today who will explain why you have been charged for the services rendered at GCTC.

    Best,

Tuesday October 31 ******************************************************************************* the same room yet other couples where allowed together we where screamed at by doctors and staff at the front desk.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/01/2023

*********************************** and his wife presented as non-emergent patients of our facility, Garden City Treatment Center (GCTC), on 10/31/2023. Since they both needed to be assessed by a provider, they were put in separate rooms to be evaluated for their complaints. This is standard procedure for adult patients at our facility.

**************** insisted on being in the room with his wife while she was being evaluated for her complaint. Since he kept leaving his own room, our providers could not assess him. Our clinical staff asked **************** to return to his room several times. A provider was able to evaluate **************** once he returned to his room, however since he was upset because he was repeatedly told to return to his room, he left without receiving discharge instructions. While leaving our facility, he shouted out offensive profanities to our receptionists. He called one woman a "fat b*tch" and another woman a "f*cking c****!" He then threatened to "BURN THE ***** DOWN!" in the waiting room right as he vacated GCTC.

Considering the abusive behavior **************** exhibited to our staff in addition to the threat he made against our facility, I find it hard to believe that **************** actually feels as though he was discriminated against.
