      I bought 2 yards of screened loam/compost mix from Northland Farms and Garden in **********, ** for seeding patchy areas in my lawn and to add to my garden. As I started to spread the mix, I noticed there was an excessive amount of large, hard clumps. We had heavy rain for a few days after. When the mix dried it was hard as a rock, a lot of small rocks had surfaced and the large clumps had not broken down with the heavy rainfall. Before seeding, I called Northland Farms to tell them of my concerns and dissatisfaction of their product. **** at Northland Farms and I went back and forth leaving voice messages and playing phone tag for a few weeks. When I was able to speak to him, I would always tell him how dissatisfied I was with what they had delivered to me. His snarky and rude reply was always, What do you want me to do about it? He did send out a few people one day with ***** for fifteen minutes to break up some of the large clumps and to appease me. I worked so hard for two weeks trying to break up the large clumps, but there were just too many; it was impossible. At one time when I spoke to ****, he said he would send a partial check. Well, after working so hard for two weeks with the mix they had brought me and having no success, I told ****, Based on the poor quality of their product, I want a full refund. Being a ***************, he arrogantly said, Well, you will have to return it! So I asked him, And how am I supposed to do that? I told him I was going to contact the Attorney General and he said Go ahead! I hung up. There was no sense in me trying to deal with someone like that. I dont know what was worse their product or their customer service. Do yourself a favor and get your gardening supplies somewhere else; there are a lot of other places to shop. (I gave it one star only because I had too)
