I purchased a puppy from this breeder I went to go register it only to find it was not bred by this establishment. As stated on their website they health test all breeding stock and do not work with other breeders. But that was not my experience. My puppies parents are not health tested and come from another breeder.

    Business Response

Customer was well aware that I did not breed the puppy because she was referred to me by the puppy's breeder. She had originally called him to buy a puppy from his kennel in ** in February and he gave her my contact info so she may ask me if I would sell one of his female pups since I had bought 2. I had bought 2 from him in hopes to bring back old Grunwald Haus lines back to my breeding program. 10 (ten) dogs in this puppy's pedigree were owned by my family and 4 (four) of those dogs were born here carrying my kennel's name. All these dogs are on the sire's side. Customer and I began communications February 26, 2024. Customer picked up her puppy on March 12, 2024. Customer thoroughly inspected the puppy and *** registration before paying me $2,500.00 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars). She left with the puppy, vet health certificate and the puppy's *** registration in hand.

4 months and 2 weeks later, on August 10, 2024, the customer started texting me with great dissatisfaction that puppy she bought from me was not registered as a Grunwald Haus puppy. I reminded her that this was a fact she knew very well before she even came here to meet the puppy. ******** also stated that she wanted a new puppy because she because she "is not growing as she envisioned" She stated that the puppy is small and not the colors she wanted and that she was "ugly".  At this point in time the puppy would be 8 months old and nowhere near fully grown or have all her adult hair. Customer sent me 2 photographs and a video of a puppy that I am not even sure is the same puppy I sold her or when these photos were even taken. I asked her if I could see the puppy in person and would not allow it. I asked her to provide any veterinarian receipts or notes to show the dog is undersized for its age. She said she would send them to me but never did.

Today I saw her ad on Puppies.com selling the said puppy and in this ad, she lied about the age of the puppy and lied that he was champion sired. She said the puppy was born 02/07/2024 making her only 6 months old which is a lie and stated that she is selling the puppy because she is downsizing. The dog was marked as SOLD. As of 8/12/2024 she stated to me that she still has the dog.

Customer is a dog breeder of German Shepherd Dogs, Bull Dogs, French Bull Dogs, Yorkshire Terriers, Havanese Dogs and Shih Tzu dogs as well as ***** **** Cats. Her kennel name is ******************, and her Cattery is Lilac City ***** **** Cats. The *** registration lists the name of the parents of the puppy and the breeder on the top of first page. She speaks and reads English fluently and is very knowledgeable on how to read a *** registration. It is a lie that she did not know who the parents of her puppy were or where it came from.

Her reasons for wanting a free replacement puppy and refund are meritless. She is acting like a spoiled little girl that doesn't like her toy anymore and demands a new one. She bought a perfectly healthy and mentally sound puppy. There are no issues with this puppy and according to her advertisement on Puppies.com she has already sold her puppy. I wish I knew she was a puppy mill breeder beforehand; I would have never sold her a puppy. This customer is clearly seeking to merely enrich herself unjustly and omitted many factual details. This customer also turned around and lied about this puppy to sell it herself. This customer also has left negative reviews on mutiple online sites for 2 other breeders that were baseless and untrue. One of these breeders is in the process of suing her defamation and intellectual property theft. I have texts and FB messages as well as the breeder of the puppy and two other breeders she has done the same thing to that are willing to testify on my behalf if need be. There will be no refund. There will be no replacement puppy.

The puppy from the other breeder is listed at 1000 dollars Im not sure why I would pay 3x as much for the same dog.

on her website it says they do not work with other breeders and in a text from the breeder she states it is not a quality puppy she stands behind.

in a ******** conversation the breeder never mentions they are his dog.

Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.
