  We contracted with Diversified Services to remedy a basement water issue. Days after the job was supposedly completed, we contacted the owner and advised that that water was still coming in, despite there having been no rain and were advised it was "just the drying process". A few weeks later, after the 1st rainstorm, it was evident the problem persisted. Again, the company was contacted and advised/photos provided. When the owner finally came to see the problem, he refused to fix the issue; only offering solutions that came at an additional expense. We are now faced with the reality that we have to hire a 2nd contractor to re-do the work we contracted and paid for.

  Diversified Services did contract with ******** and ****** ***** to install perimeter drainage along the inside walls of their basement, this work was completed in Feb, of 2023. We gave a price for the perimeter work only, as they were concerned about the cost, and wanted to spend as little as possible. There was a crack running through the middle of the floor,. away from the basement walls, that should have been addressed, The HOMEOWNERS, only wanted to do the perimeter walls. I told both Husband and wife that if water came through that crack,after the perimeter walls were done, they would have to install more drainage.

  The cost of this job, was $ ******** and was to be paid by CHECK, upon completion of job.  Upon completion , ******** and ****** said they didn't have the money, and wanted to put it on a credit card. I suggested that they take a cash advance on their card, they said no, saying that the interest rate would be ********* was now a case of take the credit card or don't get paid.

  When I went to look at her 1st complaint, it was exactly as I told them, the concrete over the drainage pipe was damp,which I told them it would be, until the concrete fully dried., As for the crack in the floor both husband and wife were advised prior to signing my contract  that if water came up, they would need more drainage.

  Fast forward, my bank froze the $ ******** that their credit card company paid, I followed the procedure of the credit card company and submitted all my documentation for this job. After the 90day period, the whole $ ******** was returned to my account by their credit card company, along with a letter that the work we completed was per our contract, and that ******** and her husband ****** were made aware before the job was started about the potential for the need of more drainage.

  as a added note: The second time I went to see what they ere complaining about, they both came down to the basement with full glasses of wine. it was obvious that they consumed a good amount of wine already,  They were adamant that I install more drainage at my expense,
