on May 18th 2024 I took my vehicle to get an inspection and they tried to lift my car by driving it onto ***** broken brake disks instead of using a lift, the manager then shouted at me and acted like offended that I would be bothered by him doing so. I would like an apology and a refund and another inspection paid for by them but not done by them.

On the week of April 25, 2023 (based on my credit card statement), I brought my car to Midas to have the front passenger window mechanism repaired. The window would go down, but would be delayed with several attempts to roll back up. I paid $556.57 to have it repaired, but discovered that the problem was unchanged. I brought the car back to Midas at least once in May 2023 & was informed that the mechanism was working, and a wire had been repaired. I found no change in the windows function, again. On September 29, 2023 I requested a second opinion from ******* ****** diagnosed & replaced an inoperative window switch for $347.00 (including parts & labor). I was greatly overcharged by Midas, the diagnoses was not accurate, and the problem was not fixed; therefore, I want a partial refund of about $398.00 (subtracting the amount to assess the problem of the window function).I talked to *************************, Midas manager, on September 29, Friday afternoon, at 2:47 pm. The manager informed me that he needed to talk with someone else (the owner?) & that I would receive a call back on Monday October 2nd. I did not receive a call back on October 2nd, so I called the manager again on October 3rd at 11:30 am to follow up on our conversation. The manager had not received a response from someone else (the owner?) & stated that I would receive a call back soon. I contacted the manager again on October 7, 2023 & was informed that my refund request was declined. My biggest issue is that the repair was not made in spite of keeping my car for several days, twice, & they still charged me a lot of money. It would have been better to admit that they were not qualified for this endeavor, instead of charging me a lot of ************* for an unresolved repair. Please see the attached bill from ******, job ******* credit card bill. Midas has a copy of my receipt.

On or about June 7th my car arrived at Midas Middletown RI. Midas said it wasnt the transmission but a axel and needed a tire he quoted me $1,430 and said it would fix the problem. When I showed up June 14th around 10 am to pick up my car I paid them and went to drive away I did not even get out of the parking lot it was still doing the same exact thing I also did not sign for a $200 tire they put on they lied and said the it was fixed but it was not . The work the work order was fix the transmission slippage and I was told with minimal car knowledge as a 27 year old mom of two children that it was going to fix my car I believed them naively. They did not offer a refund or a rental car. Two months later and back and forth with my warranty company the warranty company said either a internal clutch system or transmission and Midas said the clutch. All this time I am out of pocket for rental cars receipts as proofas a result of their incompetence and negligence I was only offered $24 in a refund for rental only 15 hours of actual labour was accounted for. The car then took an extra week because the mechanic openly admitted to breaking my intake manifold and a few other odds and ends while working on it again didnt offer a rental. Finally I came and they said it was good to go and went on two road tests I paid them again $290 and my car did not make it past the light by the shop before a terrible sound and metal clanking which it wasnt doing before and then lights turned on to service transmission. The car is now in worse condition and after two attempts and paying them over $2000 I have no car and they offered zero refund and only now authorized a rental for 7 days and after that I am left with nothing. I want resolution and a refund so someone qualified can fix it. First they were giving the rental indefinitely now they say sorry only 7 days Midas has completely lied to me and ruined my vehicle now Im left with a car I still owe money on and cant drive it.

The business has blatantly disregarded my complaint will not take responsibility for their actions and will not refund my money. This has went on since June and my warranty company has also agreed they have lied multiple times to make it appear as if theyve done nothing wrong.

The Midas said they performed a service to my vehicle and did not. They stated that they cleaned and lubricated my front brake calipers on my car and they did not. I had another mechanic pull the front wheels to check the brakes and we saw that no service had been performed. The squealing noise was still present. I request a refund for the original charge of $162.99. I have attached a screen shot of my bank account showing the ******************** charge. I have also attached the repair order for the second mechanic who actually did the work.
